15-Minute-Sushi

Category: Food and Drinks

This morning after woke up, I went to the kitchen to see what I can cooked for lunch and bring to work. The fridge has nothing much left to cook. I took the last potato that was available and sliced it with the new peeler I bought from the exhibition in the Kuching festival. Very handy tool, indeed. Simply cooked the sliced potato and cooked with eggs. When I went to the fridge to get the eggs, I saw a packet of seaweed which I used to make sushi earlier. So this idea just popped up in my mind. Let’s just make some “instant sushi, I told myself.

Since there was rice available in the cooker, I just need to mix the vinegar and sugar mixture into the rice that was in the cooker. And for the sushi ingredient, I just used the potato + egg that I just finish cooking, and of course adding some mayonnaise for taste. Just in around 15 minutes, my “instant sushi” is ready to serve. Why I call it “instant”? Because normally when I make sushi, it takes me some time to do the preparation of the ingredients. Find out how I make my own sushi.

I made 4 rolls of sushi and in fact just ate some for breakfast. The rest I gave it to Cherry, so that she will have things to eat during recess time in school. And yea, I didn’t forget to take picture of it. haha.
