Just back from work, turned on laptop, connected to the Internet and sign in to Yahoo! Mail. Oh! Straight away I notice something really different, as few hours ago I did check my mail. The new Yahoo! Mail is now out of beta. ‘New’ as in different from the ‘classic’ mode which does not implement the drag and drop feature, integration of Yahoo! Chat and many more…

The very first thing I noticed is the color customization. Remember during beta, there wasn’t an option for user to customize the mail layout color (only available in classic mode). Now, you can choose from 6 smoothing colors which add a little flavor to your mailbox, which makes your eyes feel comfortable.
6 color themes for you to choose:
You can easily change the layout color from the “Options” on the top right corner.

Green

Ocean - default color

Chrome

Tangerine

Violet

Bubblegum
Other than that, another changes is made to the sidebar icons. Those little icons are now more colorful, for instance, the spam icon is depicted by “fire” and feed subscription is depicted by the widely known orange RSS button.
New shortcuts are available too! You can now write a new email, have an instant chat with your contacts and even send text messages (SMS) to your contacts, just by pressing the following shortcuts:
n - Email message
c - Chat
t - Text message (SMS)
Looks like Yahoo! is getting even better!
UPDATES:
Some of you might find that you are still not out of beta, but why?
Judging from the weekend comments, and because my last post answered one of the other pressing topics, the big question on many of your minds is “When will my account be switched out of beta?”. Unfortunately the official answer is, I really can’t say because exactly when the roll-out reaches you depends on the “farm” (short for server farm) where your account “lives.”Source: Yahoo! Don’t worry, as you will also get out of beta sooner or later. It’s not your turn yet…perhaps your account is from another “farm”. (See updates)
