Ponteng

Category: Life Log

Ponteng” is a term used by Malaysian students to refer to the action of escaping classes. Do you realized on the 21st November, Wednesday, I didn’t update my blog? Because I was away from work and away from home - doing whatever I wanted to do. I call this day as “a day I ponteng with my sayang (love)”.

One week before 21st, I had submitted my leave application form, and it’s an unpaid leave because I haven’t work for this company one year yet. I didn’t let my parents know about my leave application. Even at the age of 23, I don’t think Dad will allow me to move at my own pace (referring to taking leave as I wish or even the freedom to love someone)

In fact, the main reason of taking a one-day-unpaid leave is because I wanna open a saving account in Public Bank and also to apply for Public Bank Visa Electron (debit card). Getting information from several Malaysian bloggers, they said that Visa Electron works well with PayPal. Therefore, I am so eager to apply one, so that I can start my online money making journey. (No PayPal = hard earn money online)

Early in the morning, I went to Orange’s place. Wednesday is his off day, so we have one whole day to spend together. We had kolo mee and teh c peng (iced milk tea) as breakfast.

After breakfast, it was around 9.30am. Then we walked to Public Bank which is located somewhere near by. We were like noobs when we entered the bank. Looking at the instructions then we took the application form and start filling. Both of us had wasted several application form.

Then we waited for our turn to proceed on the registration. However, Orange’s IC chip has problem, therefore he cannot open an account there. At the same time, we both applied for Public Bank Visa Electron…yea…we need a debit card badly. After done with the bank, we quickly went to the place for making IC, applied for a new one.

It was 12.30pm, I went back to the office for a while to settle something then we went to eat at Alysha’s mom ice kacang stall.

We had Huang Jin Jia (黄金甲) - mango juice + fresh fruits.

Then we ordered Sotong Kangkong from the next stall. Yummy~

And also a dish of Belacan Beehoon.

After lunch, we went to Star cineplex to watch movie….it’s been a long time.

Maybe it’s still early, I just saw a small x’mas tree. I remembered last year they had a very tall and huge x’mas tree decoration in the middle.

We were going to watch this - Beowulf.

How can we resist not to have popcorns and soft drinks?

After the movie, we went back to Orange’s place, watching One Piece latest subbed episode and latest One Piece movie.

Time past so fast..it was night time already, and we went to have our dinner. I ate salad chicken rice.

While Orange had fast food. Don’t ask me why the color so dark..

It was a great “ponteng” experience. I was very happy that day. Make me remember the day when I was still doing my online study course which I had plenty of time to spend freely with Orange.

I also never ponteng back in school time. I was really a very good student (not like I’m boosting or anything), I follow the rules and I was the school prefect too. So do you think I will ponteng at school? Only until I went to college, I ponteng twice I think, because of ex. =x
