Few weeks ago, I was invited by my friends to attend the secondary school classmate reunion. The location is “My House Steamboat” or Xing Hua Cun (杏花村). This should be my second time eating at this place.

The atmosphere is quite unique, giving people a feeling of home. Before eating, let’s take a look at the interior.A closer look on the lamp.

It is always a good practice to wash your hands before eating.

This is the place for you to take your food or food supply.

This is the counter for you to pay your bills. I like the lanterns decoration.

Our table was setup with 2 steamboat. One with chicken stock soup filling, the other with tom yam soup filling.

Orange and I both ordered the same drink - fresh orange juice. RM3.50 each.

Before you start “cooking” your own food, you can take some ready-cooked food in buffet style.

The staff there keep BBQing meat sticks and chicken wings. You can order as many as you like as the fee is already included.

I love to eat veggies..so it’s a must!

Raw meats and tofu. Take as much as you want, but make sure you don’t waste food!

Dip all the ingredients into the boiling steamboat. Cooking food in tom yam soup.

When the veggies and meat is cooked, just take it out and serve when hot. It’s delicious. Note: the following photo shows the food without soup, because at the time I took this photo, the soup has finished. You can ask for refill if you want.

Yea, don’t worry. That’s not a disposable wooden chopstick. It’s safe.
If you like to fill your stomach with fresh, hot and less oily food. You can consider this eating out.
