Food Avenue

Category: Food and Drinks

The economy is said to be getting worse. A lot of daily supplies such as cooking oil, noodles etc show a raise in price and only our income remains static. However, I can’t feel any difference about how bad the economy is when I see things happen around me.

Especially, when there are so many people around Food Avenue. Did I mention things are getting expensive? But people simply can’t resist food. Hence, Food Avenue, a new place for eating out has become very popular in Kuching now.

Food Avenue is located at somewhere near the 3rd Exchange, just opposite the opening-soon-Boulevard. This area is gonna be very crowded when everything is ready. I saw a banner claiming Food Avenue as Malaysia’s first food court with auto sliding roof concept. How true is this? I don’t know.

Auto sliding? I think they mean this. See an open space on top?

Nowadays, people love to have the circle logo. Simple and straight forward.

During weekends or peak hour, this place is really crowded. There are several food stall that sell various kind of food from dessert to western cuisine, from satay to noodles…and many more. Their business seems too good until you have to wait for so long before your food, or even drinks, to be served!

I went to this place several time, and most of the time I didn’t bring along my camera and I just took photo using my camera phone. Now, I only have 4 photos taken by my digital camera. Will try to post the food next time.

This is the 3 layer Teh-C-Peng (Iced Milk Tea). Looks beautiful but the original one from 7th Mile is still the best!

Two new shopping malls are going to be open in Kuching very soon, namely Boulevard and The Spring. The former is said to be open this coming 19th, and the latter will be open in January next year. Economy bad?

Food Avenue is different like other “kopitiam” de. What I mean by different is their variety of food. Almost like Hui Sing Garden food centre, they also have their Snack stall, local Kueh-Mueh stall, Burger Stall, Barbeque and Panggang Stall..Popiah also got.

There also one new thing about Food Avenue which i didnt see at other place is that some of the food stall signboard got their owner pic on it. Kinda cute lol.
