Kuching Development

Category: Random Issue

My hometown Kuching is really developing rapidly. From the completion of Kuching International Airport to the opening of new shopping malls, to building of wider roads, as well as the development of real estate. It has become a busier city. Frankly speaking, I don’t know this is good or not. I mean, development and improvement is good, but I do hope that Kuching still preserve its unique local Sarawakian style. I don’t want a second KL here. I don’t like busy life. I love a slower and quiet life style.

I see a lot of Kuching bloggers are cheering of the new developments. I’m proud of Kuching too. I hope the authority don’t demolish all lands to build tall buildings. How about our spacious greenland? While developing a city, we have to think about keeping green too, in case it’s too late. How about you? What do you think about the development of Kuching city? I’d love to see your opinion in the comment. ^^

Kuching is not developing fast enoughs. It should be better then KL. More University, more Service center, more hotel and of course more Unions. Kuching should also rise the living standard by rising the pay of government and private workers. Kuching should have bigger roads and more community center. Let hope all this come true. :)

You know, I totally agree on not wanting a second kl here. I have really come to love and appreciate the slower and less stressful lifestyle.

Development is a good thing and i certainly laud the changes we are having here, but on the same note, i hope the people in charge don’t lose sight of the other important things as well.

You don’t want to eat a bowl of Kolo mee at the price of RM3 and above, right? Now, it’s just 50 cents away from RM3~

Rising of living standards? Actually how good is called a higher living standard? Government sector raise salary is not a prob, just tax the citizen higher. And we normal, private sector citizens, have to work like hell without any increment in salary…haiz.. what a *toot* situation.

I really hope Kuching is not a second KL. I kinda miss last time’s Kuching International Airport, although not “high tech looking”, yet it had the local tribal feel that represent Sarawak.
