Public Bank Visa Electron

21st November 2007, I applied for Public Bank Visa Electron.  It took approximately 1 month time to receive the letter of approval.  Before I can receive my card, I have to fund my card with at least a deposit of RM25.

Last month, I finally received my Public Bank Visa Electron.  For those of you who don’t know what is Visa Electron, it is a debit card.  Acts like an ATM card or reload card.  Once the credits inside the card has been used up, you have to fund the card again before further usage.

While I was waiting for my debit card approval, my lady boss asked me if I wanted to apply for CIMB’s credit card.  I’m more interested in debit card, that’s what I replied.  Even if I want to apply for a credit card, with my current salary, I don’t think I can get approved.

The reason for applying Visa Electron is that, I want to withdraw my PayPal credits in the future.  As now I’ve been doing some review posts that earn me some bucks, I get paid via PayPal and would love to transfer the PayPal credit to cash in the future, but not so soon, because during each transaction, USD5 is deducted as the process fee.

By the way, before you can add your debit card detail to your PayPal account, your card must be more than RM25.  Say, you fund another RM10.  I funded RM50 into my Visa Electron.  Why I choose Public Bank Visa Electron?  Because it is tested to work on PayPal. =)
