This seems to be a shocking news and a great lost for the Hong Kong entertainment industry. Lydia (14.07.1947 - 19.02.2008) or better known as Shen DianXia (in pinyin) has just passed away this morning (19th Feb 2008).
Since last year, news about her being charged in the hospital had spread and at first they (her daughter, ex-husband and herself) denied that she had sickness. Late Lydia was famous for her plump and happy-looking appearance. But since sickness struck her, she became thinner gradually and really looked unhealthy.

You’re right. She wasn’t only a good actress, she had a kind and warm personality.
I really looked up to her as an actress when I was younger. May she rest in peace.
