Is It Safe Just to Remove Data?
Posted on Feb 27 in Tech Stuffby ApplePrint

With the rising of advance technology, we are able to do many things in a more convenient way. It has become “too convenient” that almost everyone can take photos or videos with a device (cellphone, camera, etc) in hand. And the misuse of such technology cause severe cyber crime to emerge.
We should learn from what has happened recently to victims like Edison (as if considering him a victim?) and such. Leaking of information, especially those that are private and confidential, is something we must prevent. If you store things digitally, you have to be extra cautious.
Left aside the theory of Edison being the suspect himself behind the crime, even if he had removed all the photos before sending his laptop for repair, it is still NOT SAFE. The removed data can still easily be retrieved by some undelete utilities….
How to protect ourselves? I mean totally remove digital data from your computer? There’s something you can always do about it. Read on…

Thanks for sharing! Although I have nothing too private like those victims, but still, it’s better to clean it completely. =)
And by the way, do you have similar software or any methods to clear data completely like this in mobile phone?
Hi SilverIsle, how’s life? You’re welcome.
To completely clear your cell phone data, you can check out the cell phone data eraser which is free. I never try it before, so please also use it at your own risk. Read instructions and so forth.
Hope that helps.
