I believe ex-Hong Kong celebrity Edison Chen has become even more popular after the leak and distribution of nude picturess of himself and several female celebrities. This was a hot topic discussed among people almost everywhere. Spreading of those nude pictures is getting more and more serious, although legal action has been taken in HK and China. But you have to know that Internet is so wide without range. Once a thing is spread around the Internet, it’s hard to totally demolished.

What do you think about this act? Is it really a disgrace like what others said?
For Asian country, this is something BIG, something very SHAMEFUL…DISGRACE. For the westerners, this is just something very common and is a great pimp for the artist. The artist can gain more popularity if such thing happen.
What’s my point of view? It’s Edison’s right to do whatever he wants. I don’t see any wrong in collecting your own nude photos, seriously. Edison was a celebrity in the entertainment industry. In fact, the leaking of such photos do create entertainment effect. Didn’t you enjoy viewing those photos and always google for more? (for those who ever see those pix)
Edison is young. What can a young and single man do? Getting wild is just something very common. You don’t have to blame him for all those stuff, really.

If you really love to criticize on sex scandal, why not consider Chua’s case? Being the Health Minister of a country, involving in a sex scandal. What do you think about this? Yes, he has his right to do whatever he wants too. But wait! Something is very wrong here!
Chua is old and is a married man. He is a minister, not celebrity!

haha, d flies’s photo is very funny.
laz month, I hv seen a pair of flies couple doing XXX on d cloth clip.
I gt chance to take photo & video of them.
but d photo gt little blur. cuz too near.
Am I consider to hv “nude photo” of flies?!

LOL, you are right, everyone has the right to do things they want. I don’t care what Edison or Dr. Chua do but from another point of view. My fear of cyber-crime / cyber-terrorism is becoming true. People are being victimized through the vast and rapid expansion of digital information / rubbish on / in / at / within / beyond the World Wide Web. Is this part of Web 2.0? I doubt so but apparently I’m dead wrong. Organized crime has engulfed the Internet as well. To me, Internet has become something like the Bible or Quran. The entity itself is neither good nor bad. It depends on the user / believer.
BTW, Edison’s photos are not as cool or awesome as I have expected. All I can say is that Dr. Chua and Edison are victims of digital organized crime. And more will follow in the near future…

I agree. It’s his life and he’s free to do what he wants behind closed doors.
But on the flipside, I personally feel that he should be blamed for being so utterly careless. I mean, he had hundreds of pictures (and possibly videos) in his laptop and he just sent it for servicing. That’s just plain reckless/stupid if you ask me.
However, that said, if the pictures weren’t so unethically stolen that this whole scandal wouldn’t have surfaced in the first place. But, that’s another issue on its own.
And as for the women who have been tangled in this whole scandal, I honestly don’t feel sorry for them. They weren’t snapped secretly ala Dr. Chua. They voluntarily posed and participated. So they really only have themselves to blame.
Some veteran Hong Kong actress actually said “If you don’t want people to see naked pictures of you, then don’t have any naked pictures of yourself”, which is so true under the circumstances. You knew the risks, now bear with it.
At the end of the day, I think everyone has learnt from the Dr. Chua incident and the Edison scandal that one must always, always be careful.
