@NAFA,
Glad that you learned something from my blog :)

@ColourfulWorld,
Yes, it's rather hard for a laptop. I barely touch any laptop hardware before. Wow...really? I'm the first female in your database in this field? Cool.

@vickie,
Different BIOS has different beeping codes. In general, 1 long beep and 2 beeps is something to do with the video card. More beeps after the first long beep, mostly related to RAM.

Haha, reminds me of my experience with various PCs and laptops. It's easy to service PC but it's quite hard to service a laptop. LOL, you are the first female in my database who is capable of doing such IT stuff. That's nice!!!

Everytime we enter this site, we get to learn so much about technology, computer gadgets and stuff. U are indeed knowledgeable!

And when it comes to technical problems, u definitely know how to repair the damages.

Hardware problems are always a heavy burden for us all. And it would cost a bomb whenever we have no choice but to purchase a new hardware, just like the prices that u have mentioned here.

But with experiences like these, we will always get to learn something new. =)

Haha..not really experts lah. We learn from experience and lots and lots of reading (when we face trouble). RM320 to replace a motherboard..hmm..if that's few years ago, I should say it's expensive. Because nowadays computer hardware is getting cheaper with good spec. The new motherboard for my office cost RM220 (I still think it's expensive). An average motherboard (by the time of writing this) has a price ranging from RM200 to RM300. Better ones like Gigabyte or Asus of course will be more expensive, like around RM300 to RM400 or even higher, depends on the spec.

Haha.."blue screen of death", that's the most troublesome thing to see in Windows. If after reformat still have such problem, it might be malfunction of some hardwares (not sure, have to diagnose). Sometimes hardware gets old, all sort of problems will occur. The best advise is, to get a new machine. :D
