Ah Long Pte Ltd 《老师嫁老大》is the movie that I decided to watch when I read the announcement post from LaoZhaBor. This movie is released in Malaysia 1 month+ after the release in Singapore. This is a movie from Singapore famous director Jack Neo, who is known for his comedies and realistic reflection of our society.

Ah Long Pte Ltd by Jack Neo
So last night, Orange, Cherry, Cheese and I went to the cineplex to watch this movie which started at 7pm. I felt something not so right when entering the car park…
It was dark, some of the lights in the car park were not turned on - that’s very unusual. Even when we wanted to go to the wash room, the path way was dark too. Something is really wrong. Because it was a holiday, the cineplex were very crowded as everyone was waiting to enter the halls. It was so stuffy. When it was nearly 7pm, the hall door was open, we were very happy and thought it would be better in the hall.
We were all wrong. It was more stuffy in there and it stinks, smells like someone’s foot. =.= The air conditional was not turned on. The movie started at 7, still, without the air conditional. The hall was nearly full, just imagine how stuffy it was. Another irritating thing is a female audience that sat behind us. She would laugh out loud (really loud and annoying in some way) even when there was nothing much to laugh about.
Back to talk about this movie. It’s an approximately 2-hour-long movie. I would say only Malaysian and Singaporean (especially Chinese) can fully understand this movie. It’s very “rojak“(mixture of) in language. When we watched till around 30 minutes, the screen suddenly gone black!!! Panic? Shocked? Most people were starting to get noisy and angry. The whole building blackout!

Some people were so bored till they used their handphone’s lighting to “play shadow” on the big wide screen. We waited for nearly half an hour before the movie resumed. By that time, more than half hall of audience left already. They should have exchanged for replacement tickets for the next day. The ticket cost us RM9! And we watched this movie with such interruption - what a total turn off!!!!
But not long after the resume, the hall was blackout again! So we watched this movie quite incomplete. We have missed out some parts!! What a bad experience. We should have watched this movie in another cineplex.
Okay, back to the movie. Overall, this movie is quite nice, quite funny at some parts. The thing which I quite don’t like is the use of Cantonese. Kinda spoil this movie, because it just feels very weird. The movie plot is in Kuala Lumpur (KL), so is that why they want to use Cantonese to represent the people there? KL is just like a small Hong Kong =.= (not pro act pro?)
Haha..and I saw LaoZhaBor in the movie! Although this time, her role is quite simple and her occurence in the movie is quite little, she is still very entertaining.
I think I have to buy the DVD and watch the full movie once again. Missed out some parts, especially when director Jack Neo appears. I don’t even get it, why those Ah Long (gangsters) suddenly approached him….

@joshuaun,
The language is sort of “rude”, by the way it’s rated as 18PL, so I think it’s ok. Yes, Lin De Rong or Lam Tak Wing is MYFM DJ. He played the Ah Long role and really did look like one.
@Cherry,
Told you to go to the other cinema already…
@headsteadi,
1. All edible, but cheese is not fruit
2. It’s a Singaporean movie but they did partner with Malaysia. Do encourage you to watch.
@LeeChien,

@Amei79,
Oh? Haven’t screen in Miri? You should watch it too. Yea, one of the actor, Daniel, is from Advertlets.com and another actor is MYFM DJ.
I saw the “Jiang Shan Mei Ren” poster
