Adobe Photoshop CS3 has been in the market for a while. The Beta version was given free to the public by Adobe itself. But of course with a trial limit. In CS3, you can get more new cool features. Besides Magic Wand Tool, you have Quick Selection Tool that can help you to select the parts you want more accurately. Of course, there are many other more in CS3.

You can grab the Beta version for your own today.

However, you have to “crack” it or else you can’t be using it, as you will get some warning such as “Licensed Expired”. All you have to do is create a batch file. And lauch this file to open up the application.

How to create a batch file (.bat)? Open up your Notepad, and copy the following codes:
@echo off
date /T >> c:\users\yourname\datum.txt
date 01-04-2007
start photoshop.exe
type c:\users\yourname\datum.txt
date
del c:\users\yourname\datum.txt
exit

Replace “yourname” with your computer username (or any name, I found that it doesn’t really matter). Notice that the date is set to 01-04-2007? You can change this to any date but make sure the year is 2007. Save this file as “start_ps.bat” with the double quotes. Next time, when you want to lauch Photoshop, you will have to double click on the start_ps.bat file to open up Photoshop, or else it won’t work.

Once you double click on start_ps.bat, your computer date will be changed to the one specified in the batch file. In order to set back the correct date, you have to key in manually. Do not change the date until you have successfully open up Photoshop. (To change date, type in the current date and press enter and you can close the batch file window)

This is one of the possible ways to work around with the full beta version. If you don’t like the idea of “extending the license period” (using of batch file to change the date), you can always choose to use any free open source image editor like Paint.NET or GIMP.

What image editor are you using?

Note: The files are encrypted by password. If you happen to download and need the password, use the contact form and request for it, I’ll let you know.
