This is not a new game but I really enjoy playing it. It’s a PC city-building game published by Sierra Entertainment. There are many series of city-building games by Sierra Entertainment, Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom is one of them.
In this game, you will learn to create your own village and slowly evolve to an empire. I love to play this game mostly because of its ancient-feel Chinese background music and the use of different China ancient dynasty as the plot. Now, I have the chance to become an “emperor” (or perhaps “empress”) and rule my own empire.
Here are some screenshots of my village upon completion during the Tutorial (Xia Dynasty) stage.

Elite housing estate known as Si He Yuan. (四合院)
This is the market where all sort of supplies are available for the residents. Look at those cute little things. Rice in sack, fish, wheat, helm, etc..
Very logically, as you need to setup farms to grow all your food supplies.
To defend your city, you need to train your army force.
It wil become more and more challenging when the game goes on. I haven’t have much time, so once again, am not able to finish the game. (I seldom complete any games except for arcades.)

I think I have heard of this game before, not so sure about that.
Regarding the company - Sierra Entertainment - I definitely heard of this company before.
In the past, I have played and enjoyed many games produced by Sierra before.

I thought Sierra entertainment sounds like the Shinra Company in FFVII…

Yup, that’s really an old game. It’s not very big files like those fit in DVD ROM nowadays.
