Firefox Download Day 2008!

Previously, I’ve mentioned about the official released of Mozilla Firefox 3 and the upcoming Firefox project of accomplising a mission on creating a Guinness World Record for the most software downloaded in 24 hours, known as the Firefox Downlaod Day 2008.

The official release date is fixed! 17th June 2008, 10am PDT! But for us who are in GMT+8 time zone, this day falls on 18th June 2008, Wednesday (which is tomorrow by the time I write this), 1am GMT+8. You still have time to join the Firefox Download Day Pledge, and make sure you download Firefox 3 during the stated date.

Time: 10:00am
Timezone base on: PDT

For Malaysians:
Date: 18th June 2008
Time: 1:00am
Timezone base on: GMT+8

My Two Cents:

I’ve been using Mozilla Firefox for years and really enjoy the experience. I’ve tried out Firefox 3 Beta and love the new features and flexibility. I’m going to wake up at midnight 1am to download Firefox 3. Will you?

  the link provided seem invalid, with error page.
  why must wake up & download at 1AM on 18/6? How long is the firefox download day? only on 18/6?

  Which link is invalid? Because I’ve tested all and didn’t get any error pages. Erm..actually you don’t have to wake up at 1am on 18/6, as long as within 24 hours on 18/6 will do. This is to help Firefox break the Guinness World Record for being the most downloaded software in 24 hours. Of course after 18/6 you still can download Firefox 3 anytime.

  Apple…i’ve donlod firefox last nite..ermm..around 12.45 like that..hope its count in the firefox download day..hahaha..
  i’ve test it..its more faster..new look..new function..less memory used..but..for some add-ons that i’ve must have for my firefox..its stil not compatible with firefox 3 than i used firefox 2 again hope all the add-ons will be compatible for firefox 3 soon.. (+_-)
