Yesterday was the DuanWu festival or known as the Dragon Boat Festival. Normally on this day, the Chinese will eat meat dumplings known as Zong Zi (Mandarin) or Bak Zang (Hokkien dialect). I only ate few spoon of dumpling yesterday. This morning, my colleague gave me one, so I’m gonna eat it later during lunch time.
Here are some photos of very beautiful dumplings received in my inbox. Take a look.
You always see Onionhead with his emotions. The increase of fuel price annoyed Onionhead too!! Now, he wanna be a gangster!
Everything increase price…at first is flour, gas then rice…now fuel. Rumors suggested that electric bill will increase in July soon. WTH?! Everything INCREASE. Sad enough to say that, the only thing that remain static is OUR SALARY!!
Even graduates with high education qualification will face the same fate. A bachelor’s degree holder like me is getting RM1,050 every month! After EPF, SOCSO deduction, I only get RM925.75. Tell me…how long should I tolerate with my income? Should I change my job? But in this critical moment, I am yet better to sit down and watch what will happen to the country’s finance first.
Getting a new job is not as easy as said.
This is not only a ranting post, but also a notice of 2 new Onionhead emoticons release. Click here to download ALL.
A: What is the logest vehicle in size in the world?
B: Train? A: Nope…it’s car-in-a-row-during-traffic-jam.
B: ….
That’s a typical Chinese joke. The answer is “sai che” (塞车) which means traffic jam, and lots of cars queueing in the row.
Orange was supposed to reach home on the 3rd but because of a car accident, he had to pospond his return and headed back to Sri Aman before going back to Kuching. Hence, I waited for another one day before his return, how bored I was, back then.
Here is a video clip taken during the car accident, just take a look at how serious it had cause the traffic jam!! There were four cars having collision with one another. The car owners would have to claim their car insurance. How on earth can such accident happen? Drunk?
I had no idea before I started to know a bit about computer hardware. (p/s, I never studied hardware in detail back during school time, as it was not included in my syllabus.) I was so noob back then when I wanted to purchase a computer.
Talking to the sales person, he shows you a list of hardware specifications in the catalogs or brochures. But you don’t quite understand his alien language, and your knowledge is just “how to use a computer” but not “how to build a computer”. Do you have such experience when you want to purchase a computer?
So today, I want to share with you my experience when you want to purchase a computer (or laptop). Most people thought that a branded computer (Acer, Compaq, etc) is always better than a clone (build up with several branded components) one. So which one to choose?
First of all, you must know what is the purpose of the computer that you are going to purchase. Is it for office use? Personal use? Gaming? Each purpose has different requirements.
Progesterone is a hormone produced in the body which helps to regulate the menstrual cycle of women and supports pregnancy. Such hormone also can be found in men’s body, but just a little amount of it and is less important to sexual maturity.
I’m not a medical student, so based on my understanding after reading some articles on progesterone, I learnt that it can be treated as a birth control method. This hormone can help during early pregnancy. Birth control pills that contain progesterone, can essentially “fool” the body into thinking it is pregnant, because it detects a higher level of progesterone. This means ovulation does not usually occur.
Progesterone is not only for menstrual cycle but also serves several other important functions in the body:
Aids in immunity
Reduces swelling and inflammation
Stimulates and regulates the production of the thyroid gland
Keeps blood-clotting levels at normal values.
Keeps bones strong
Produces collagen
Helps keep nerves functioning at appropriate levels.
