This is actually the second time I dine in Secret Recipe. However, the first time I was treated by my best friend to have a drink and a piece of Cappucino cheese cake. To celebrate my birthday, Orange and I went to Secret Recipe for dinner last night.

It’s okay to pampered ourselves with luxurious food once in a while, right?
There are a variety of food selection from appetiser to western cuisine, to asian cuisine.

After all, apple and orange seem to be a perfect match. Even in the menu. LOL. Do you think that we would surely order those fruit juice?

No…However, both of us had grapetiser as our drink. It’s a product from South Africa - claimed to be 100% sparkling juice.

Grapetiser - RM8.00 each
It was quite late that night…I would rather say it was a supper as we dined at 9pm.

Creamy soup is something that both of us can’t resist. So as usual, mushroom soup was ordered. It was delicious, at least I think it’s better than the one in Sharing Planet.

Mushroom Soup - RM5.50
I ordered pumpkin soup instead. I thought it would be very nice like the one I tried before in a restaurant named Exza. However, I was wrong. It taste more like the Indian curry sauce for roti canai.

Pumpkin Soup - RM5.50
I didn’t feel like eating western food that night, so I ordered something more Asian. It comes in set, known as Thai style fried rice. Quite nice.

Thai Style Fried Rice - RM15.00
Orange is sort of a beef lover when it comes to western cuisine. He ordered a lasagne beef and spaghetti with beef meatball.

Lasagne Beef - RM12.50

Spaghetti with Beef Meatball - RM14.50
All 7 items all together cost us RM69. However, after service charge and government tax, the whole meal cost us RM79.35 (just as expected)!! It’s not usual for us to have luxurious meal all the time. Once in a while is fine, moreover, it was for celebrating my birthday. All in all, the food is quite nice, just a little too luxurious. ^_^
Thanks, hun…for the wonderful celebration.

Happy belated birthday, Apple… wanted to SMS you then realised you didn’t give me your number hehehe …
I tried that pumpkin soup, and that was exactly how I tasted it too! Curry! The only good thing about Secret Recipe, in my opinion that is, are the cakes!
They are delicious, but to dine there.. let’s just say, not my cup of tea

Secret Recipe is so overrated. Ugh! Apart from their cakes, they’ve nothing else to boast for.
