Cherry had hamsters before. Those were given to her as a gift. Although they were not really mine, I love to watch them move around, as if they were my own hamsters. Now, I have my own hamster, staying with me in my room (not really hygene but that’s the only place I can locate it).
I call it Hammie. I don’t know how to identify its gender, I’ll just assume it is a he. Having Hammie as a pet is just like mystery. He is not really given to me as a gift, rather a gift from God? Few days ago, Orange informed me about an interesting news. He told me there was a hamster in his workplace (a cyber cafe), coming from nowhere.
Fear that Hammie would be lost or fed to the cat, Orange kept it in a box. During the night, Hammie made a hole in the box and ran out to collect food. He had collected some left over junk food on the floor (those were the snack bought by the cyber cafe customers). The cute thing is, after collecting the food, he still went back to the box, enjoying his meal. Cute, eh?
We decided to keep him as a pet, so I brought it back home with me. I have to put it in a cage just in case anything bad happen to him when I’m not around. Surprisingly, Hammie can adopt to new environment as fast as I put him in his new home, he started to play around the hamster wheel.
What I like most about Hammie is, he is so obedient and non-aggressive that I can hold him in my hands and pat him anytime I want. He is quite active as well, and like to run and look around.

Updated on 8th August 2008: This morning Hammie’s both eyes can’t open, seems like having some brown crust covering them. I Googled and search for solution, some said use warm water with cotton wool to gently rub on its eyes. Some say bring to the vet. I think I will choose the latter. But I don’t have time. Gosh~~ So heart pain to watch Hammie walking “clumsily” as he can’t see.

haha…ya very cute lor, like to sleep recently. But very guai, allow me to sayang him. I think this is also a run away hamster. Can’t put at boy’s room lar, too hot.

Very cute hamster & cute name too ^_^ I don’t have any pets ; ; my friend has 6 dogs, a rabbit, ferret, & a cat. lol She has enough pets for everyone =D I only want a small dog maybe one day T_T
