Rojak, is basically a snack made up of mixture of fruits (or other ingredients) with black prawn paste and grounded peanuts as topping. You must not miss this dish when you are in Malaysia. Last week, Orange and I went to a rojak shop located just at the upper level from my office. (I’m working in a shopping podium) It was so sweet of Orange to visit me during lunch time.

You can pick and choose what fruits or fried snack to mix with the rojak prawn paste! Orange was doing the picking ^^

After you pick what you want, the staff will mix them up for you, and put toppings like grounded peanut as you wish. There are several other toppings but I don’t know what is it.

The price depends on the weight of the ingredients that you have chosen, ranging from RM6 to RM12. We had a RM9 rojak, and were really full. Before eating rojak, we already had lunch in Hong Kong Noodle House.

This food shop not only sell rojak but also other delights like ice mixture, belacan beehoon, etc..

Wonder where is this place? It’s Stone Ice, which is located in Wisma Saberkas level 5. There is another branch near Satok area.

The decoration here is unique, lanterns and leaves. A feeling more attached to the mother nature.

And also the “symbol” - stone-looking table and chairs. They are not real stone though. Do you feel like it’s the stone age? haha..

Yea, we need to wash our hands before and after meal, for hygienic sack ^_^

Overall, the rojak here is quite nice, but rather pricey as it’s calculated base on the weight. Are you hungry now?
p/s: I was supposed to post this up in the day time, however I wasn’t able to access the Internet almost the whole day while I was in the office. =.=

@melbie,
Hey mel, thanks for the information. I’d love to try the rojak there in KK one day. It’s became a trend to have rojak shop (with ice kacang) in Kuching.
@remblue,
Oh..where are you from, may I know? Rojak is actually very easy to make. The most important thing is the paste. I wonder if I could send a prawn paste to you, so you can DIY your own rojak with any fruits you like. ^_^
@LeeChien,
Yea..we should go there together. Well, yup half an hour later by the time I write this, we’ll meet at Stone Ice for rojak. Great!
