Guzheng: Chang Jing – Open Music

Do you still remember sometime around last year, I posted about a cool Chinese zither player playing a very soothing music called Breathing? I finally got the full album and would love to share it with all of you here with the same interest!
Here’s a little information on the performer. Chang Jing 常静 is borned in China ChengDu SiChuan province. She started playing zither as early as 8. She went to music school and involved in several music association now. “Open Music” or Li Xian 离弦 is one of her album back in 2005.
If you like new age music, you must not miss out this masterpiece. It’s a great combination of Chinese traditional music and modern music!
This beautiful lady is Chang Jing the composer and performer of the music. All her music is very cool. I highly recommended the 2nd track – Breath or Hu Xi 呼吸 .

I have to say that she’s damm good at what she’s doing! And the movie is really good. The music and the MV really dovetails! The melody simply blends into the scenes and the MV direction is really breath taking! 2 thumbs up! =)

Hi carlie,
You need winrar to extract the .rar files. Google for “winrar” or if you are a fan of open source, google for “7zip”, download and install the software to extract .rar files.

Happy New Year – I got a new guzheng for Xmas and would love to have this music to play and emulate – any idea where I can buy the album? I have tried downloading RAR files in the past and they all seem to come through corrupted. Thanks!
Happy new year! corrupted? did you open it with Winrar and insert the correct password?
I don’t have Winrar on my company laptop – last time I downloaded it, it crashed my PC and I am afraid to wreck the company’s mahine!
In this case, try install Zip Genius. It’s an open source free Windows utility that allows you to extract compressed archives up to 20 formats including .rar ^^ hope that helps.
Right on! I will try that and let you know. I love this music!
