Wohoo~ 3rd Adsense Payment!

This is so thrilling! Although it takes quite some time before I’m eligible to receive my Google Adsense payment. This is my 3rd time receiving payments from Google Inc. It just feels so cool, although the amount is not much. Just imagine, how many normal citizen like me in my town receive payment from the Big G?

Due to my working hours, I’m not able to visit my regular bank (RHB Bank, I call it the Adsense bank, just for my Adsense payment savings). I notice that Public Bank has just offer Western Union service recently, so I decided to try it out, since there’s a branch located near my office and I have an account there too. (No, you don’t need a bank account to receive Western Union payment)

Here, you can see that the “To Receive Money” Western Union form is slightly different from the one by RHB bank.

Public Bank staff are probably still new with the Western Union thingy. They seem so blur when I told them I want to receive payment via Western Union. Overheard their conversation, they seem like never handle such case except for sending payments.

After filling up the form and waiting for some time, they finally issue my payment by the rate of 3.357 (exchange rate of 2nd September 2008).

If compare to RHB Bank, I still think the service in Public Bank is not so good yet. Because this transaction requires the authorization of any officer, I had wait more than 5 minutes for a female officer to approve it. She was busy with her things and let me stand there waiting just for her tiny signature. It was my lunch time, so half of my lunch time gone just because of unnecessary waiting.

I requested the staff to help me directly bank in the amount to my Public Bank account. I thought they will just do everything for me, like what RHB Bank did. It turned out I have to fill up the bank-in slip myself (that’s not a big deal), but to my surprise, they didn’t issue me any Western Union final receipt like what I recieved before from RHB Bank. Weird~

How much I get after the conversion? Enough for me to get a Moen single handle kitchen faucet. But what for I purchase a faucet right? I used this to pay my online orders just now. XD
