Y!Mail Vs Gmail

Recently, I spend a little more time on Google products like Gmail and Google Reader. I think they are very useful for the loading speed. Especially when I have a very slow connection in the office. I have been using Yahoo mail for many years. I was happy to see the new features when it was still in beta. However, sometimes it really takes longer time to read mails in the new Yahoo! mail interface.
A sudden thought stroke in my mind. Why not try to use Gmail? Yes, I do have a Gmail account but it’s not my primary email. The best thing about Gmail is each email with replies is just like a conversation. You can easily refer back to what have been discussed previously without recalling or searching the old archives.
Another great thing Gmail offers to its user is the ability to change theme (appearance) of the interface. Some themes even changes according to the time zone (weather) you are in, provided you enter the correct location.
Back to Yahoo! mail. If I’m not mistaken, Yahoo! mail as a feature called “Stationery” and was only available if you pay (like upgrade your account to Yahoo! mail plus). Only until today, I just realized that the “Stationery” is now FREE for everyone! It’s just like a theme or layout of your content which you are going to send to the receiptients.
There are several themes available and I tried to send an email from my Yahoo! mail to my Gmail account.
I’ll still stick with Yahoo! mail and will use Gmail for some special purposes.

I don’t like Yahoo! Mail. I normally access my email from an email client such as Thunderbird. Can’t access Yahooo! such way using IMAP connection unless you’re Yahoo! Pro subscriber. Hence, I resorted to gmail which is better and faster.

I have hotmail, yahoo & gmail.
All serve for different purposes.
But I more often use hotmail.
I love to use gmail too.. and it’s my primary email
Gmail is my primary and YMail is my secondary. Love gmail because of the loading speed especially in a very slow computer or slow connection. Love gchat as well.

I have been using Gmail for over 3 years, left Yahoo Mail for long time.
The best feature in Gmail is the combined mails of same subject, making reading and recalling content much easier.
Gmail search is amazing too. Just type any keywords and you will get the search results in no time.
My gmail is over 95% (7GB) full now, left with another 300MB to go. Gmail has warned me to purchase additional storage, USD20 for 10GB per year, most probably will subscribe when my gmail is full. No, I don’t want to delete emails in my gmail account.

Surprised no-one mentioned the fact that Yahoo! Mail has tabs. Whenever I use Gmail or any other email service, I am very annoyed at how I keep having to go back to my inbox, loosing my current message, just to read a new one. It’s like IE6 all over again.
Gmail does have some very good features though, but so does Ymail and I won’t consider switching until they add tabs of some sort.
I like gmail better. It’s simple, easy-to-use, and customizable with Labs andThemes and whatnot. However, I think Buzz is retarded.
