Alan: Tsuki ga Watashi
Posted on Mar 17 in Musicby ApplePrint

My favorite J-pop artist, alan, released her first album “Voice of EARTH“. I love this album so much and I think that every track is just so beautifully sang. It’s highly recommended among alan’s fans. (I think remblue, one of my readers, will love this as much as I do)
Among all those songs, except for Ashita e no Sanka, my favorite track goes to “Tsuki ga Watashi”, meaning “The moon is me”.
Tsuki ga Watshi lyrics with English translation (original romaji lyrics in green)
doushite konna ni mo
kono mune ga kurushii no?
aitakute…
kimi wa sugu soba ni iru hazu nanoni
kisetsu no kawarime wo
sono kimi no kokoro kara shirimashita
itsu no hi mo furimukeba kimi wa tooi
Why does my chest
feel so tight?
I want to see you…
Even though I was supposed to be by your side soon
I realized from your heart
how the seasons have changed.
If I turn around, you will already be far away.
hoshi ga nagarete kiete ittemo
kono omoi wa mou kienaide to negau no
Even if the stars burn out and fade away,
I wish that this feeling won’t fade away
koi wa itsumo todokanai kara
kimi no kokoro ni utau
wasurenai yo
kisetsu ga utsurikawatte ittemo
Because my love cannot reach you,
I sing for your heart.
I won’t forget,
Though the seasons change.
tsuki ga watashi namida wo somete
kagayaku kimi no moto e
ai ga koko ni umareru you ni
ashita wa kitto kuru
The moon is me, dyeing the tears with moonlight
Toward where you are shining brilliantly.
Like love being born upon this earth,
Tomorrow will surely come.
tsuki wa itsumo kimi wo miteru no
eien ni kawaru koto naku
kimi no itami watashi ga ou no
michite wa kaketeku
The moon is always watching you
Eternally unchanged.
All of your pain, I will bear it.
As I become burdened, you are freed.
tsuyoku ima wo ikireru you ni
kimi no kokoro ni utau
wasurenai yo
kisetsu ga utsurikawatte ittemo
Powerfully, like how I’m living this moment,
I sing for your heart.
I won’t forget,
Though the seasons change.
tsuki ga watashi namida wo somete
kagayaku kimi no moto e
ai ga koko ni umareru you ni
ashita wa kitto kuru
The moon is me. Dyeing the tears with moonlight
Toward where you are shining brilliantly
Like love being born upon this earth
Tomorrow will surely come.
