Kado 角落

Perhaps another great hangout besides The Tarot Cafe, Kado is another well known place for youngster to fill their stomach and chit chat for the entire hour. The name “Kado” means Gateway, and as for the Chinese name Jiao Luo 角落, literally means – “corner”. The location is kinda “hidden” too, if Pat didn’t tell me about the existent of this cafe, I don’t even know there’s such a cafe!!

This was some time ago – 03.01.2009! I’ve been delaying this food post for too long. Anyone miss my food post?? hehe..

Kado is located on the 1st Floor, so you need to walk up the stairs. At the entrance, you can see this statue with a menu board.

Once you walk up, there’s a very nice portrait called “The Tree of Life”.

“Tree of life is an important symbol in almost every culture. This specially designed version depicts the journey in life highlighting the obstacles that came in the way, accompanying us shaping our soul & spirit into whate we are, today.”

The interior ambient is quite cozy too. I have took several pictures on different kind of seats.

This is the counter. It was just few days after Christmas, so Christmas decoration was still around.

In fact there are still several corners which I didn’t take picture of.

Kado’s menu – very creative and eye catching! Besides, funny dish names are available too!

Turkey Ham Pancake 火腿蛋饼 – RM2.80

Bolognaise Chix 番茄鸡肉意大利面 – RM6.50

Something very exclusive is their handmade burger, really large in size compared to normal burgers you can get in any street burger stalls or McD.

Crispy Fish Burger 香脆鱼扒堡 – RM5.00

Handmade Lamb Burger 手工羊排堡 – RM5.00

Lamb Steak with Mushroom Cream 羊排#蘑菇酱 – RM13.90

Conclusion:

The food is tasty with reasonable price. Staff is friendly and food is served faster than The Tarot Cafe (eventhough Kado has lots of customers as well). Board game, card game set ready. Wifi available.
