Voluntary OT

OT means over time.  I was working on last Sunday. It was not necessary but I felt that I had to get back to the office to continue all the cleaning up / tidy work. The supervisor is leaving the department, therefore we have a new staff come in to assist a little here and there. We are currently “headless”. Our supervisor becomes some sort of sales representative cum our department supervisor, but no longer stay in the department.

Last Saturday was the supervisor’s last day in the department. She treated us some snacks and drinks. Some sort of “farewell, take good care of yourselves” party.

So, I have to swap my seat. I am sitting at the supervisor’s seat, just swapping seat so that the new comer can settle down at my desk. No, there’s no promotion here. I’m doing the same job and just get the new girl to help me a little on those things that I can’t finish by myself for a long time – for instance: arranging warranty cards, notebook extended warranty registration.

  • She, our head, become sales person who specifically handle dealers transaction.
  • She, if not mistaken, given the title of “senior executive”.
  • She, the new comer, will help us a little here and there.
  • He, the master solution, is still cool like a rocker.
  • I, the busiest warranty clerk, still have to work, work and work – no FB, no blogging..time is just so inedequate.

By the way, this is how my new seat look like after tidying whole day.

The department is so small, that’s the best I can locate all the stuff. Basically that’s the office furniture provided in the small room. And boxes every where. See the upper left corner with all those boxes? There are around 10++ boxes of that kind.  Those are HP Compaq notebook boxes! All units have been sent to HP service center and none has been returned!

So when LeeChien helped her mom bought a notebook, she asked me if HP compaq is good…Tell me, how should I answer?

Want a notebook? Forget about HP and Acer. Try Toshiba instead!
