Vesak वैशाख
Posted on May 09 in Eventby ApplePrint

Also known as “Wesak”, is a day marking “The birth, enlightenment and passing away of Buddha“. It’s also informally called “Buddha’s birthday”. Today, 9th May, is Vesak in Malaysia (GMT+8). It’s a public holiday too. Buddhists were busy going to the temple this morning, to celebrate the festival.
I like this music.
Happy Vesak
Note:
I did not mention what religion I belong to. I don’t mention to friends too. I’m not that religious. I’m neutral and deeply believe that there’s a mystical power (force) controlling (arranging) the whole universe. I worship with joss stick, practically because I’m a Chinese and I’m just practicing the tradition. Although some may argue that joss stick is a religious material, a typical Chinese family still use joss stick to pay respect to the ancestors. (Note: ancestors are not God, so I don’t smell any religious thingy here)
To the root, I’m more of a Buddhist…
There’s a sun, the sun is given many names in different languages in different regions. But it still doesn’t mean there are many Suns.

I more likely a buddhist. but sometime i claim myself a “free thinker”…

I also like to address myself as a free thinker.
