Recently, I’ve got a new hobby. No, not pc games, or any console games like Playstation or xbox 360, it’s cooking! Cooking is so much fun, even though I am doing my slimming project and only eat solid food during lunch time.

Last Sunday, Cherry requested me to cook fried rice for her.

With the limited ingredient available in my fridge, this is what my simple fried rice look like. She enjoyed it very much and was later full with satisfaction.

Ingredients that you need:

  • White rice (best if its “over night” rice)
  • Shallots
  • Dried (black) mushroom
  • Egg
  • Sausage

Seasoning:

Steps:

  1. Add in some cooking oil to pre-heated wok.
  2. Add in sliced dried mushroom, stir fried till you can smell the aroma.
  3. Add in sausage, stir fried till it slightly turn brown.
  4. Add in an egg, and fried till its cook and leave it longer in the wok. (for better aroma and taste)
  5. Add a few drops of Maggi Seasoning sauce to the mixture (dried mushroom + sausage + egg), and place it on a plate first.
  6. Add in white rice to the wok and add dark soy sauce.
  7. By then, the wok should be quite dry, add some Planta margarine to taste, and stir fried the rice. (White rice now will look “brown” because of the dark soy sauce)
  8. Now, add in the mixture (dried mushroom + sausage + egg) back to the wok and fried together with the rice.
  9. Add some pepper powder to taste, stir fried everything.
  10. Ready to serve.

Simple, eh?

^^

Try it out, yourself.

Hi Apple! just one plain question: Is it necessary to cook the rice on the wok? Over here it’s hard to find one of them, though on Ebay I might find it.

    BTW, more recipes, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Hi lael, sorry for the late reply ><
A wok is a bonus, as it has more ‘space’ to fry the rice and mixing all the ingredients together. And the outcome (taste) of the fried rice will be a lot nicer.

If you can’t get wok, you can use a frying pan or whatever you have. But be careful because while stir frying the rice, it can get messy easily if the utensil you used is shallow.

Thanks for being interested in my recipes. I’ll come up with some recipes. Recently I am quite busy at work, and have not been cooking for some time. haha..anyway, I have a quick and simple recipe about rice too. Hope you’ll love it. So stay tune ^^
