Happy Mooncake Festival
Posted on Sep 23 in Event, Life Logby ApplePrint

According to the Lunar calendar, yesterday (22nd September) was the Mooncake Festival or also known as Mid Autumn Festival. It’s an important day where typical Chinese will celebrate with family members – a time for another reunion after Chinese New Year. There are several Chinese mythologies about this festival.

Went back home and had dinner with my family after work. This is what we had for dinner.
Roasted chicken and crispy pork.

Broccoli with other veggies.

And soup~

After that, we had the main character of the night – mooncakes
These are jelly mooncakes, good when served chilled.

Camwhoring while eating mooncake.

After the meal, Cherry and I went out the house and started shooting here and there.

The moon and the lanterns.

Hanging lanterns around the house compound is something very usual during this day.

Dad did this last year, and he did it again – hanging lanterns on the tall telephone pillar.

Neighbors were having fun as well.

They were hanging colorful lanterns on the tree.

Not to forget to have more mooncakes after playing around.

Hot tea is the best companion to neutralized the sweetness from the mooncakes.

Surprisingly, Dad had some fireworks.

It was quite fun to see colorful lanterns around. The best part of the night was I was able to snap photos. I was suppose to write this post and wish everyone Happy Mooncake festival, but was too tired and went to sleep earlier.
Anyway, hope everyone did enjoy this day. ^^
