Happy 2018: Another 365 Pages

We carry within us the wonders we seek around us.” – Sir Thomas Browne.

Most of the netizens had posted their 2018 new year resolutions on Facebook since yesterday, the last day of 2017. I’ll keep mine simple. Before that, let’s have a look back on what was my new year resolution which I posted a year ago. I have achieved most of them, except for “Join a marathon.” What a shame for not being able to even start a simple task like this. Hope I can get this fulfilled this year. HAPPY 2017!

It’s the time of the year again! HAPPY 2017 everyone!

So for the whole year of 2016, I have only written 2 blog posts! That’s kinda sad, I used to be a quite active amateur blogger, as active as the frequency of me doing Zumba (imagine that!)

Anyway, looking back at my first post of the year of 2016, I did not set a list of new year resolutions.

In 2016, I don’t want to set a list of new year resolution, I just want to feel truly happy of what I’m doing and I’m going to be a person full of positive energy and of course, try to fulfill last year’s resolution which I had not achieved yet.

Teriyaki Chicken

Cooking has always been my passion. Since last June, I started to prepare most of my meals for lunch for several reasons:

  • Changing lifestyle of eating healthier food.
  • Lunch time will be hassle free as lunch has been prepared.
  • Cost saving.
  • I love to cook, anyway!

In my eat clean journey, my main food is skinless chicken breast. Eating boiled / steamed chicken breast all the way is definitely bored. I don’t want a plain and dull diet, what I want is a delicious and healthier eating lifestyle.

Often I get questions on how do I marinade the chicken for my homecook meals. Since I’m trying to promote eating clean, therefore the ingredients I used are really simple – Kikkoman’s Teriyaki Marinade sauce. I’m using the “Honey & Soy” flavor. Continue reading “Teriyaki Chicken”

Happy 2016

It’s another chapter of a new year. And also the 9th anniversary of this blog. I feel kinda sad for not keeping this blog as active as before. Many things happened in 2015, I have became a ZIN (Zumba Instructor), I have been traveling around for Zumba events, I even made a immediate decision of going for a vacation at the end of the year, which was so not me. I have a lot of things to share but due to the tiredness of work, I have once again neglected my blog which I had so much passion for 9 years ago.

The Photobooth: Give the Gift of Hope

I was being informed by my sis that there’s one photobooth event going on at tHe Spring shopping mall, which I might be interested. This is a program specifically designed to uplift the lives of the poor and needy through the teaching of photography skills. With every photo taken inclusive of frame at RM30 (RM10 without frame), all proceeds go towards improving lives of poor and needy under 1AZAM program by the Ministry of Welfare, Women and Family Development, Sarawak.

The photobooth is located opposite Starbucks Coffee, tHe Spring shopping mall.  Continue reading “The Photobooth: Give the Gift of Hope”

Tap Titans

Recently saw friends around me keep tapping on their smartphone crazily when they are “free”, as in “fingers have nothing to do”. Since I don’t have to work today, slacking back at home, I thought of why not introducing this mobile app to Orange and see how addictive it could get him. So I asked him to install in his iPad.

Tap-Titans

The game is called Tap Titans. Available in both App Store (iOS) and Play Store (Android). Continue reading “Tap Titans”

Honeymoon Trip

It was before the Christmas season, we went for our honeymoon trip to Hong Kong, Macau, Zhu Hai, Shen Zhen and lastly Guang Zhou. It was mainly a trip to southern mainland China.

It was an eye-opening trip with some culture shock, especially for Orange, as it was his first visit to China.

It’s a beautiful sight seeing spot to watch the buildings in colorful lights along the river. The weather was freezing cold, especially standing on the deck to take photos, while letting the cold, dry wind hit against our faces.

More stories about my honeymoon trip to be shared in future posts. Stay tune!

Happy 2015!

Time flies, but the memories collected along the way can never be replaced. 2014 seems to be just like yesterday and now it’s already 2015! It also marks the 8th years anniversary for this blog. I used to be an active blogger and sort of “abandoned” it for quite some time due to busy schedules, to be more precise – way too much excuses to hold on to my dream (of being a full time blogger).

Many things happened in year 2014, good and bad, most importantly 2 important events that totally changed my life: getting married and starting an affair with Zumba Fitness.

It’s a brand new year to start a “new life” for the coming year, and I do hope this coming new year will blossom gracefully like the sunflowers.

Every year I will set a list of “new year resolutions” and check if I have accomplished any of them to make it a fruitful year… Continue reading “Happy 2015!”
