Wordpress has just released a fix of over twenty bugs in version 2.3 today. There’s some security issue found in previous version 2.3, therefore it is encouraged to upgrade from version 2.3 to version 2.3.1. You can view the full list of changes made between 2.3 and 2.3.1 from Trac.

Steps for upgrading your own-hosted Wordpress blog (if you haven’t know yet):

1. Download the latest Wordpress version.
2. Backup critical files such as your theme and plugin.
3. Extract and upload all content of the downloaded Wordpress file to your host. Overwrite everything. You can use FTP for easier upload.
4. Login to http://your-domain/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php (this is an example) to upgrade your current Wordpress and follow the instruction to finish the upgrade process (You can skip this if you are upgrading from 2.3 to 2.3.1)

Finally I’ve finish upgrading and editing everything in my secondary blog. Do you still remember I had a blog in Wordpress.com? Yea, I’m happy to announce that I’ve successful bring everything over my own domain. Free Collection is reborn!

Everything starts with a reason. If you ever wonder why I start blogging, you will find the answer in this post. Before hosting my own domain, I launched my blog in Blogger. I’m a member of Blogger since May 2004. Back that time, blogging is something quite new and not as popular as today. I created my blog and deleted it over and over again - no inspiration and idea on how to blog that time. Then I tried to blog somewhat a bit seriously in MSN Spaces (now known as Windows Live Spaces).

This is my first original post in Wordpress. (Older posts before this, are imported from blogspot) Sorry for no blogging for 2 days. I was busy moving my blog from Blogspot to own hosted Wordpress.  If you are able to read this, means it has been a success!  I have plenty of things to share with all of you.  So stay tune!!
