It’s time to eat Tang Yuan (汤圆)!!
The traditional East Asian calendars divide a year into 24 solar terms (節氣). Dōngzhì (冬至; literally: “winter solstice”) is the 22nd solar term. It begins when the Sun reaches the celestial longitude of 270° and ends when it reaches the longitude of 285°. It more often refers in particular to the day when the Sun is exactly at the celestial longitude of 270°. In the Gregorian calendar, it usually begins around December 21 (December 22 East Asia time) and ends around January 5.
In China, Dongzhi was originally celebrated as an end-of-harvest festival. Today, it is observed with a family reunion over the long night, when pink and white tangyuan are eaten in sweet broth to symbolize family unity and prosperity.

This is what I have at home today. A very traditional and simple Tang Yuan in white and pink, with no fillings inside - just pure rice flour. It taste like eating flour only, if without the sweet syrup. Read more…
Boulevard is a new shopping mall in Kuching. It was said to be open in 19th December 2007. However, due to some reasons, possibly bad weather condition, the development process has extended and it is said this coming Saturday, 22nd December 2007, will be Boulevard’s official launching.

It is located at 4th Mile in Kuching. Since heavy machinery is ahead, everyone drive slowly and get the chance to capture some picture of the Boulevard building. Read more…

I believe the Sarawak Rock Party 2007 is not something new for you, if you have been to some of the blogs in my blogosphere network. I did attend this rock party, however I couldn’t get a proper seat as I entered the pub around 8pm. It was so crowded and it was the first time I went to a pub. Just don’t understand why people like to go to such place to have fun.
This mark is no stranger to those that have seen the review posts on this rock party.

2nd December 2007, I was invited to Alysha’s wedding dinner. Almost everything was planned by Alysha herself. And of course, before going, we bought a strawberry design gift box to put her wedding presents. (She loves strawberry very much.)

In the invitation, it was stated that the event would start at 6.30pm. So we went there around 6.00pm. However, the event started at 7.30pm…Asian unpunctual time. Read more…
