I don’t know what to give Dad, so I just gave him RM50 as my appreciation towards him. Cherry on the other hand, gave him a Domo-kun keychain kind of stuff, earlier one week before the event. Dad called Domo-kun as “Dynamo”..haha

In fact, last Saturday we had family dinner in a Chinese restaurant for celebrating Father’s Day.

Noodle is one of the common dishes in a dinner set from a Chinese restaurant.

Then we had this “cold dish” with mixture of minced meat or processed meat.

A bowl of herbal chicken soup.

Best of all, it’s the crispy pork.

This dish is called “double taste fish”, with two tones (yellow on top, green at the bottom) presentation. The two tones also indicates the flavors.

Abalone with broccoli.

Sweet and sour prawn balls with bread slice. The bread is tasty.

Lastly, we had veggie with mushroom.

Nice food and we all went back with full stomach.

We have not been dating for a very long time. I had a sudden thought of going out with him. We went to a new shopping mall called Hills.

It was his first time going to that shopping mall. We took some photos around here.

I showed him to way to Toys’R'us. And brought him to the Star Wars section..

In fact, we love to go to bookshop. Not necessarily have to buy those books..

Around 9pm, we thought of having our dinner + supper at Sushi King~

He loves to eat unagi and ordered an Unagi Set. It’s like eating lamp chop in a Western cuisine restaurant for him, when it comes to eating in a Japanese restaurant.

Happy 4 years 8 months.

Everyone participated in the mixing.

Mandarin oranges is another must have item. Dad was so mischievous by drawing a smiley face on the used tissue. Somewhat cute.

If you have been following my food post on typical Chinese cuisine, this type of dish is no longer a stranger. It’s known as the “cold dish”.

Next, we had shark fin soup. I don’t know if this is really shark fin, perhaps only crab meat. The soup is nice after mixing with adequate black vinegar.

Steamed fish. Fish is another crucial dish during Chinese new year, because it represents wealth.

The butter prawn taste really great. The pineapple served beside goes well with the prawn.

Herbal chicken. Quite nice too.

How can we have no veggies? Here’s broccoli with mushroom, abalone and wombok.

Last dish of the night, we had sweeten glutinous rice as dessert.

A nice thing to remember is, Orange was invited to join our family reunion dinner on Chinese new year for the very first time after we had spent 4 years and 4 months together. ^_^

We also took some family portrait. Due to privacy concern, I’m not going to post their photos here. But, of course it’s no prob to show off my cute sis, Cherry.

Orange said he wanna eat something. That was after 7pm, when we called it a day. I suggested going for Sushi King. He agreed. So, off we go.

Even though we can directly get those sushi from the sushi bar, Orange still wanna order something from the menu.

Monday evening, not much people, not much choice from the bar too.

I haven’t eaten these for some time already…

Orange said wanna challenged me with the wasabi. I know he was kidding, because he really dislike the taste.

Time to eat…Itadakimasu~

This is the first dish I ate. Yummy!!

Orange, on the other hand, had this. And notice his sauce dish? No wasabi!!

Chopstick? AH..use my bare hand is faster.

The best beverage to drink with sushi – Japanese green tea.

And this was the one shown before with the caption “Hm? What’s this?”. Fried bread with some sugar, to be precise.

This is the best! And it was my last dish.

Orange ordered a shoyu ramen.

Yummilicious egg noodles. Very smooth texture. <3

Hmm..finished eating.

Orange was full.

But he said he actually could eat some more, but it’s expensive, so he kept drinking the tea!! LOL.

All together… 14 plates + 1 shoyu ramen = RM65.90.

With crazy service tax and government tax which cost about RM10!!

The total bill amount is RM75.80.

But, it’s worth. We went home happy, full and satisfied.

If you know Orange well, you should have guess what sort of food he will order…

Since I’m starting my slimming project, I didn’t order any food nor drinks. I brought along my plain water.

And to kill time, I login to Mobile Facebook via my K770i which I received as a birthday gift from Orange.

He ordered 2 glasses of orange juice and drank both glasses.

And yes, he finally get to enjoy his lamb chop. While I’m trying hard to reduce weight, he suggested that he is trying to “build muscle”…

Do not worry about me. I’m doing good. I did not touch any food nor beverage. I’m proud of myself for resisting all those tasty food and the aroma!!

This morning when I woke up in the morning, I indeed lost some weight and inch around the waist! wohoo~

The restaurant serves affordable, tasty food. It was my first time dining in this restaurant. A corner of the restaurant. The banner is definitely eye catching.

This is the menu. There are several types of menu depends on what sort of food serving do you want. This is À la carte menu. There’s another menu for bigger serving.

I ordered this mango pamelo dessert. Tasted kinda weird, and it’s quite pricey for such standard.

I should have ordered something like this…

This is the specialty of this restaurant. Most of the food served is placed in this “mini wok”. Oh, and every dish has bean sprout! I love bean sprout!!

Cherry ordered butter chicken rice. I tried some, quite delicious.

Rachel’s boyfriend ordered salad chicken rice.

Rachel had “winter plum” chicken rice? If I’m not mistaken.

I had this Thousand Island chicken rice. It got its name from the salad dressing.

I felt kinda uneasy when her boyfriend said he treated us this meal. Ah Loong, thank you very much for the meal. It was a great time dining together.

Around 10pm, every staff was busy, we waited so long for our food to arrive.

Orange finally had his meatball spaghetti.

I ordered a stuffed crust Island Supreme pizza. Yum yum~

Too late already, the mushroom soup was so tasteless.

But…this was so delicious…

And fatty of course!!

It’s very satisfying. ^_^ Finally get to eat sushi after craving for so long.

Kado is located on the 1st Floor, so you need to walk up the stairs. At the entrance, you can see this statue with a menu board.

Once you walk up, there’s a very nice portrait called “The Tree of Life”.

“Tree of life is an important symbol in almost every culture. This specially designed version depicts the journey in life highlighting the obstacles that came in the way, accompanying us shaping our soul & spirit into whate we are, today.”

The interior ambient is quite cozy too. I have took several pictures on different kind of seats.

This is the counter. It was just few days after Christmas, so Christmas decoration was still around.

In fact there are still several corners which I didn’t take picture of.

Conclusion:

The food is tasty with reasonable price. Staff is friendly and food is served faster than The Tarot Cafe (eventhough Kado has lots of customers as well). Board game, card game set ready. Wifi available.

Food and drinks are served. You can easily get fat if you keep eating non-stop, especially fatty food like cookies, crackers and many other junk food.

I have been to around 9 houses and these are some of the unique cookie served.  Butter cookie in bee shape. Cute?

It’s the year of ox / cow. These are made by my relative. I think it’s cute and really takes a lot of effort to do this. But it only takes few second for us to munch the cookie.

Fish is another icon during Chinese New Year. It’s something related to wealth.

Went to Alysha‘s house too. That time they were watching TV, actually waiting for their TV appearance. She recorded it and I suppose she will post it up in YouTube.

This look like rice cracker. It looks good but didn’t taste as good as its appearance.

This is something really special. A homemade pancake by son of Viktor’s friend. Nice presentation and taste good too! I just had a bite of it, the rest was eaten by Cherry.

Actually there were many more cookies but they almost look the same. So I didn’t take picture of it.  How can one not be fat after the festive?
