Yesterday, I had my dinner at Full House again. This time, I ordered a green apple milk tea with “black pearl”. Taste quite nice. The pearl here refers to the sago, And Orange ordered an ice blended chocolate. I’m not really into chocolate beverage, so I can’t give comment about this.

Green Apple Milk Tea - RM3.00

Ice Blended Chocolate - RM4.00
Then, I ordered one of my favorite food, tomato fried noodle. I’ve tasted some tomato mee around in Kuching, but I still prefer Full House’s. Orange ordered one Taiwan sausage and 2 ‘customized’ toast. Because it is ‘customized’, not listed in the menu, so I didn’t take a picture of it. haha..

Tomato Fried Mee - RM3.50

Taiwan Sausage - RM2.00
It has become a habit of taking pictures before eating the food when I dine outside. Yesterday when the food and drinks arrived, I took out my camera and start shooting. The mom of the boss asked me if I were doing advertisement. Haha, well, I’m no longer in the
Press, sorry dude, you must be glad, because I’m doing free advertising here in my blog.

Today, I would like to share about my favorite drink - Teh C Peng (iced milk tea - yea, I’m a great milk tea fan) Monday night, I suddenly felt like drinking Teh C Peng, so I went to the coffee shop and bought 3 packets, 1 for sis, 1 for Dad and 1 for me. Instead of ordering the “normal” iced milk tea, I ordered the “special” one. Still remember I mentioned about the 3 layer milk tea? The photo below is the milk tea that I bought. I like to drink this milk tea from this coffee shop as it is not too sweet. Notice the black sugar not as much as the previous one? Wondering why the color look different even it is the same drink? Well, this depends on how to beverage maker pour the ingredients (mixing and making the “layer”).

Teh C Peng Special - RM1.60 each
| Teh: |
It’s red tea such as Lipton or Boh. The word teh means tea in Malay. |
| C: |
A short form we used to refer to evaporated milk. |
| Peng: |
It means iced. I’d rather say it’s a translation from the Chinese Hokkien dialect. |
| Special: |
It’s a term to differentiate it with the ‘normal’ milk tea. The regular milk tea use white sugar for sweetening. Whereas, for ’special’, the black sugar is used. |
It’s easy to make if you have all the ingredients. I’ve made several times myself when I was free. ^^

After going to the PC fair, we went to Top Spot - a place where good seafood are served (Just located at the same building, but different level). Many different stalls selling fresh seafood over there. But every time I go there with my parents, so they are the one who do the ordering. Orange, me and our friend didn’t know what to eat, until we saw a stall selling western food - Tim’s Steak. That’s the easiest way to order food, and they didn’t have much customers.
The food there not very special. If were to compare with Westwood, I would still give Westwood a two thumbs up! We ordered Teh C Peng, but this time it’s Teh C Peng Special. How special is special? If you are Kuchingnites, you sure know what this mean. It’s iced milk tea in 3 layer form. Look at the photo then you will get what I mean. I can be considered a Teh C Peng “specialist”, I think the Teh C Peng Special there is a bit too sweet. The black sugar they used is different, not the one sold in bottles (it’s pure atap sugar). And it’s expensive too! RM2.00 each!!

Teh C Peng Special - RM6.00 (RM2.00 x 3)See the menu, there seems to standard western food. I wanted a Fish & Chips…but, they said it’s out of order. *speechless* So, no choice but to order a chicken chop. Orange and our friend order lamb chop. (really is a lamb chop fan) Oh, and I also ordered a bowl of cream of mushroom soup. Orange ordered some
satay as well.

Tim’s Steak Menu

Beef Satay - RM6.00 (RM0.40 x 15)

Cream of Mushroom Soup - RM4.50

Chicken Chop - RM8.50

Lamb Chop - RM14.50

It’s not suppose to have raining season at this kind of time, but haiz..the atmosphere is changing. It was raining heavily last night here, in Kuching. However, it still couldn’t stop me from eating roti canai at Jolibee.
Roti means bread in Hindi, Urdu, most other North Indian languages, and Malay. The term “canai” derives from “channa”, a mixture of boiled chickpeas in a spicy gravy from Northern India which it was traditionally served with. The term “channa” is also used in Pakistan. In English, roti canai is sometimes referred to as “flying bread,” a term that evokes the process of tossing and spinning by which it is made.

The weather was cold. In such breezing hour, it’s just nice to have a cup of hot beverage. Instead of ordering Teh C Peng (Iced Milk Tea) as usual, I ordered a cup of Teh C. (Hot Milk Tea) Orange ordered his favorite hot Milo.

Teh C & Milo - RM2.20The thought of having a bowl of hot soup to warm up a little bit came up my mind, so I ordered a bowl of seafood soup..but hey..I only ordered the seafood
SOUP…the girl made me a seafood soup with a plain
kolo mee. Anyway, the noodle tasted nice, no harm. But of course cost more, the soup is RM3.00, and now adding the noodle..hmm but I forget the price. =.=

Seafood Soup & Plain Kolo Mee - RM3.00++ The
roti canai definitely took some time to be served. It comes with many flavor. It simply taste good in plain. But my favorite ones are with
Planta, or
Planta Bawang (Planta & Onions). Last night we ordered 4 pieces of
Roti Canai Planta, 2 pieces each. It feels great to eat
roti canai since for a long time I haven’t have it. Since it was cooked with margarine, it was oily. Oh, and I love the curry that served along.

Roti Canai Planta - RM5.20 (RM1.30 x 4pcs)What a wonderful dinner.

The BanQuet 三川楼 is a new eating out around 4th Mile area in Kuching. This restaurant has been launched some time ago, but last night was my first time visiting it. My friend was celebrating his birthday and he invited me and other friends to The BanQuet for dinner. The environment outside the building is quite nice. The building itself is quite unique. The food..hmm I don’t know how much it cost for my friend to order 6 dishes for 10 person. (1 of the dishes - crab, was given free. My friend kept on repeating it!!

)

The food still can consider tasty. Among the 6 dishes, I like the “Salted Mixed Vege”. It is actually 3 kinds of vege - potato, eggplant and long bean. Both potato and eggplant were cut into piece and deep fried later, then cooked together with the long bean. The thing that makes this dish salty yet delicious is the preserved egg yoke. (咸蛋黄) I don’t know how they did it, but it seems that the vege was “coated” with this preserved egg yoke. Delicious…yummy..I’ll try to cook this dish some day.
I didn’t take any pictures of the food because I felt it would be very embarrassing when everyone looking at you just to take food photo. If I were to go to this place again with Orange, I sure will take some food pictures. No embarrassment in front of Orange. ^^ So, I only managed to take some photos of the birthday cake bought by us for our friend.

yea, that’s 2 piggies in the middle ^@^
can you guess his age from the candles??
