Yesterday after digging the archives about local food from Jimmy’s blog, I decided to go to one of the cafe that he had mentioned. So me and Orange went to this place for our dinner. It’s the Isabella’s Cafe, a cafe located quite near to my house. I’ve seen this cafe before and even heard of friend mentioning about it. And because I saw very beautiful pictures from Jimmy’s blog, I just can’t wait to go visit this cafe myself. This cafe looks very simple from the outside. There’s chairs all around and a see-saw, not really attractive from the outside.

There’s a sign written in Chinese saying “Please take off your shoes”. So, we took off our slippers and stepped into this cafe. Wow…the first step on the floor, it’s just like home, smooth and clean. The interior design is quite creative and gives people a smoothing feeling. Air-cons and fans were switched on - the fan seemed to be running at full speed. There are white-transparent curtains everywhere and pillows around..looks like a palace, or a bedroom, so relaxing.

The atmosphere there is really very nice. I think also depends of the number of customers there. The time I visit to this cafe, there wasn’t much people.

Okay, let’s talk about the food. The price still can be considered reasonable and without tax. I ordered an iced milk tea and Orange ordered a hot chocolate milk tea.

Iced milk tea - RM3.80

Hot chocolate milk tea - RM4.60
For food, I ordered fried rice with pineapple. Taste and smell nice, but rather a bit oily. Orange ordered cheese pork with rice, very unique, quite nice too. We also ordered some side orders - nuggets and salty sotong (cuttle fish)

Fried rice with pineapple - RM4.80

Cheese pork with rice - RM10.80

Nuggets (8 pieces) - RM5.80

Salty sotong - RM7.80 (not as tasty as I thought)
All together cost us RM37.60, and we were very full by the time we finished up all the food and drinks. The comfy pillows there just make people feel like sleeping. Overall, I like the environment there very much. If you were in Kuching, can give it a try.
