It was a very sudden decision, actually made by Orange, saying that he wanted to get an XBox that very evening of 5th March 2010. Right after work, so unusual that we didn’t go home straight away, we went to tHe Spring shopping mall to intentionally find out more information about the console.

Game Mania, is the shop that we visited.

There are 2 packages available for XBox 360 offered by Game Mania – Arcade and Elite. Both modded version, which means you can play the *ahem* version games.

We decided to go for Elite. We were quite lucky to meet our friend, Peter. (Thanks, Pete!) He helped us to negotiate the price with his friend, and finally we could get the “best” price for XBox 360 Elite with an additional wired controller. (Orange insisted to get a wired USB controller so that he can use it to play games in his PC later)

We share among ourselves to pay for this console. After this, I’m almost broke! A total of RM1,560 has fled away~ This is the second time I hold that much cash in hand! The first time was when I bought my Sony T2 camera in December 2007.

What’s so good about XBOX? I don’t know. I’m so get used to Sony’s Playstation controller. Okay, here’s the main reason: XBOX 360 can be modded!! Whereas, Sony PS3, currently no mod is available~ You get what I mean?? I don’t think I can afford a game that cost average RM100 – RM200.

Only black color available. I thought of getting a white one.

3 original games were included in the package – Forza Motorsport 3, Pure, Batman Lego.

Other than that, we can choose 10 free *ahem* games.

Out of so many games, I chose to play Dante’s Inferno first. After all, this game is also one of the reasons why I bought the XBox. No God Of War in XBox, perhaps this is a perfect substitution.

I love the colorful buttons. But still, I’m not so get use to it yet.

Testing XBOX 360 in normal CRT TV. It’s really terrible because I can hardly read the in game instructions during game play.  Since I am not a full-time gamer anymore, I don’t have much time for games actually. So, just let it be. Next, I don’t think I can afford an LCD TV.

I’ll get a DVI-to-HDMI converter, a HDMI cable so that I can connect my console with my Samsung 743NX LCD monitor.

I haven’t touch my XBOX for several days already….

I stucked at level 9 for a very long time, due to insufficient in-game money to get at least 4 items in my inventory. That’s the requirement before you can reach level 10. I dislike the notification (remind me of the requirement to reach level 10) ever time I complete a song. At last, I decided to buy M-points to buy the clothes inside. I paid via PayPal, bought some M-points that worth USD5.99 (RM20).

I have bought a set of Chinese-looking outfit as my avatar. I love this sort of clothing. How I wish I could fit in such an outfit!! I have 2 “oriental-looking” outfit hanging in my closet. I can’t wear it yet, they are too small for me.

This is my default avatar…and after spending some real bucks to buy in-game points to get the new avatar…

It is really fun to watch your restaurant grow, and you can even “hire” your friends from your friend list (regardless of he/she plays this game) to work for you. And it’s also a place for you to express your creativity on designing your very own virtual restaurant.This was how my restaurant looked like when I was level 12. Currently level 15 by the time I wrote this post.

Each time you up a level, you will get an upgrade on either a “larger restaurant” or “hire another employee”. You can zoom the view, however it will be in low quality.

Each day, you will be given a question regarding cooking. Every correct answer earns you an ingredient which is useful for you to either learn a new dish or upgrade your current dish. Through this quiz, you can also gain some cooking knowledge. How fun!

Now, you can even dress up your character. This is me :3

It is really fun and addictive, to watch my restaurant grow day by day. However, the game is kinda hard to load sometimes. I believe it should be the patching issues as it’s still in beta test.

You can create a pet base on the available style. I think Pet Society can also reflect one’s personality. Some love to create their pet with fierce eyebrows, some love small eyes….I love cute pets. So I create an orange pet with big round eyes and the “universal cute anime mouth” which look like this (see from side way) –> :3  And I named it Tiger ^^

You can play mini games like catching the ball (clicking on the object, of course), skipping, racing…compete with friends on the amount of awards received (see image below).  Like I said, it can reflect your personality, you can choose to decorate your pet’s house with lots of fun stuff.

This is Tiger and Chopper (Orange’s pet). They are kissing each other. Yea, you can also visit your friends. Earning more coins and get some luxury items to decorate your house or even buy elegant costume to put on!

It was the Christmas season, so both our pets were (and still) in the Santa costume. How adorable. By the way, Tiger is a boy and Chopper is a girl. ^^

I’ve completed all the previous 3 Diner Dash, except for the latest Diner Dash: Hometown Hero. Currently I’m playing it whenever I’m free. But apparently I still spend most of my time blogging, or else I would have finished that game by now.

This time Flo goes back to her hometown and meet up with Grandma Florence.

And starts her exciting “Hero” journey…

Now, the intro is shown in bigger images, rather than comic strips style like the previous series.

Like usual, Flo will also be busy in the restaurant or cafe everywhere she goes.

If you love Diner Dash, you should not miss out this series, to find out how Flo’s hometown look like.

The game play is pretty much the same like the previous series.

Just slight changes to the interface and added a few more challenges.

If you played the previous series before, it’s really not difficult to score “Expert” in the early stages.

In Diner Dash: Flo on the Go, Flo has her adventure during her vacation and able to get different clothes. Now in this series, you are able to change Flo’s outfit at the Flo’s closet section in the main menu. Complete and score in every stage, you will unlock more outfits for Flo.

Download Diner Dash: Hometown Hero

In this game, you will learn to create your own village and slowly evolve to an empire. I love to play this game mostly because of its ancient-feel Chinese background music and the use of different China ancient dynasty as the plot. Now, I have the chance to become an “emperor” (or perhaps “empress”) and rule my own empire.

This is the market where all sort of supplies are available for the residents. Look at those cute little things. Rice in sack, fish, wheat, helm, etc..

Very logically, as you need to setup farms to grow all your food supplies.

To defend your city, you need to train your army force.

It wil become more and more challenging when the game goes on. I haven’t have much time, so once again, am not able to finish the game. (I seldom complete any games except for arcades.)

Granado Espada distinguishes itself from many modern-day MMORPGs with a Multiple Character Control, or MCC, system. Rather than playing one character at a time, or using multiple clients, players may control a party of up to three characters at a time, making gameplay similar to a real-time strategy game. Up to three characters can be selected to be part of a team within the “Quarters” at the barracks. Any member of the party can be selected to be part of a team, regardless of differences in levels or classes.

This is something new for me in the world of online games.

The whole game feel is like having fantasy in the olden days in Western country. Now, let’s take a look at some game play screenshots. You can join Squad (party) and play in group, enjoy lots of killing spree.

Other than that, the music is quite nice too. There are many music inside, but these are 3 of them for you listening pleasure. I love the first song most. That’s the opening theme.
