I’m so happy that I’ve officially left the previous company on the 2nd of April. Ending a weird life style of an advertisement layout artist. Now, I’ve got a new job, a better one - more challenging & higher paid. What else can I say more? It’s the best environment to learn new skills and polished the one that I have.
IT Support - a new job title from now on..

Wait no longer, I’ve submitted my letter of resignation to my current company. Boss told me I’ve been working for more than 3 months already, so is automatically recruited as official staff (wtf? I thought got what contract for me to sign before the confirmation??) I typed the letter this morning and submitted at night (during my working time). When I submitted the letter, Boss told me the Company require those who resign to hand in hand-written letter rather than computer generated ones… hmm…sounds a bit lame. Reason given was, to avoid people make fake resignation letters…=.=
So, I went back to my seat, take a piece of blank paper, copied the things that I’ve typed (so that it’s a handwritten letter) and submit straight away. Working more than 3 months, means I have to give one month notice…argh..I have to work till 9th April..that is tiring.
Now I woke up around 7.30am-8.00am, working in the new company from 9am to 12pm. Then start work at 2pm to 10pm in the current company…that will be so tiring. Today is just the 2nd day…oh wow..still need to endure for some time >< Bless me!

Today is my first day going to that company. Although it’s just a three-hour working time, I felt very comfortable for what I’ve been applying. Why three hours? If that’s what you are wandering…Because I haven’t submit my resign letter to quit my current advertisement layout artist job yet. Well, probably I’ll submit my resign letter if and only if I receive the appoint letter from this new company.
Because I need to get trained, therefore I have to work for 3 hours from 9am to 12pm everyday except for Sundays. So when April comes, I will be working full time in this new company and say bye bye to this local press that I’ve been working for. I’m getting very excited whenever I think of my future position, and the tasks that I will have to carry out. Challenges and opportunities awaits me to polish and upgrade my knowledge. This time, it’s not lame anymore. I’m an IT-Support-staff-wanna-be. Yosh!! At least can learn new things in IT field.
I was told that I also need to be familiar with Linux..wow a great chance for me to experience Linux OS…well, I’ve always been using MS Windows…until recently working in the press, I get the chance to touch Mac…and it’s another chance for me to explore new stuff (in my world definition - Linux is not new, but to me, it’s something new to discover) very very soon.
A 2nd chance. New hope. New episode. New Chapter. Hence, a new career review. Wish me luck for being an IT staff in the next company.
My friend is right. I have to leave before it’s too late. Leave the sucky job before the probation period ends. ^^

Hmm..if you wonder what I usually do in the office…As an advertisement layout artist, I do these things everyday..
I arranged all advertisements into a page…The above is an extract from 17th January 2007’s newspaper. Most of the time, when I have to create an advertisement..it’s just limited to text advertisement (draw rectangular boxes and type words inside)..those with artworks are not my concern (although I did wish it was my responsibility…they have them done in the graphic department…and my job is to arrange them in place..lame, right?)
Notice the movie schedule down there? That was arranged (the pictures and layout) by me and typed the time according to the schedule faxed by the cineplex. It’s always a benefit when you can know what movie is coming up and the movie schedule for the next day, even before the newspaper is published.
Sometimes, I have to admit that my job is a bit fun.. The longer I work, the more familiar I am with my task. Performance is better than ever..and I feel like I’m playing some puzzles here…Put ads with different sizes in place
lol
