David Choi: The Way You Are

I’m so in love with this song. <3

Lyrics: The Way You Are
By: Kina Grannis and David Choi

You the only girl that I see
The only one that I dream about constantly

You the only boy that I need
The only one that I dream about endlessly

D: I want to say I think you’re perfect
K: You know I think you’re perfect

K: For all the wait I know you’re worth it
D: The wait I know you’re worth it

Break

We’ll always make it through
As long as you’ve got me and I’ve got you

We will take the world in our stride
Anything can be possible by your side

D: I want to say I think you’re perfect
K: You know I think you’re perfect

K: For all the wait I know you’re worth it
D: The wait I know you’re worth it

I love the way you are
I love the way you are
I love the way, I love the way
I love the way you are

Break

D: You the only girl that I see
The only one that I dream about constantly

K: You the only boy that I need
The only one that I dream about endlessly

Video Making: Far Away (千里之外)

I wonder why I didn’t include this in my own blog! Last year when Jay Chou released his new album with the song Qian Li Zhi Wai (千里之外, meaning: far away), me and Cherry made this music video using a game interface, which is Ragnarok Online (RO). Back that time, I hosted an RO private server, so we could easily get whatever we wanted and also easily moved around in the game. Anyway, here is the vid, just in case you never watched before.

Gloria Estefan: Wrapped

This is not a very new song, but it’s a very beautiful song which I love very much. It’s a love song. It makes me think about my love. The music is nice and the lyrics is beautiful too. The music gives me a feeling of Inka Marka, maybe because the music arrangement is almost similar, or maybe the musical instruments used are sort of similar too. Watch and enjoy the MV from YouTube below:

Part of the lyrics which I love most: Continue reading Gloria Estefan: Wrapped

Music Talk: Loreena McKennitt

Besides Enya, Loreena McKennitt is my favorite new age artist. Her music is very “celtic”, but you can still easily distinguish her music from Enya’s.

Loreena McKennitt, C.M. (born February 17, 1957) is a Canadian singer, composer, harpist and pianist most famous for writing, recording and performing world music with a New-Age/Celtic feel.

I love her album titled The Book of Secrets. I enjoy all the songs in this album. However, there are 2 songs that I like the most. They are The Mummers’ Dance and La Serenissima. If you like new age, you shouldn’t miss this one out!

Pirates of the Caribbean Music

Pirates of the Caribbean series movie is one of the top box office movies. Nonetheless, a good movie can only be perfect with nice composition of the background music or known as soundtracks. Normally when watching a movie, I kind of listen carefully to the soundtracks, the musical instruments used. POTC original soundtracks are composed by Hans Zimmer. Really amazed by how Zimmer composed the music to make it just sound so right. These few days, I’ve been listening to 2 original soundtracks from POTC 3: At World’s End. I like the “Singapore” theme the most! I suddenly thought that it would be nice if to watch an orchestra performing POTC theme. So here you go, found some wonderful vids from YouTube that I’d like to share.

An interview sort-of type about the making of POTC OST with Hans Zimmer:

An orchestra live performance. Continue reading Pirates of the Caribbean Music
