Koda Kumi: Feel

Category: Music

Koda Kumi 倖田來未 is a very sexy J-Pop artist. In fact, I’m not really into J-Pop nor K-Pop only until I came across cool Japanese/Korean anime or games. (FYI, I don’t know how to write nor speak Jap) Koda Kumi, it’s her sexy voice that pulled my attention of knowing more about her. I only knew her existence after I played Final Fantasy X-2 (review on this in the next up-coming post).

“Feel” is a song written by Koda Kumi herself and Hitoshi Shimono. I like this song very much..frankly speaking, if it wasn’t because of the MV, I would not have listen/know this song. (Very sexy MV) However this is not a new song of Koda’s. It was released in Jan 2006.

Jigoku Shoujo: Sakasama no Chou 逆さまの蝶

Category: Anime, Music

If you ever dig into my older post, maybe you might still remember about a post about revenge and anime. Well, after finishing Death Note, I decided to watch Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl). There are 2 seasons for this anime. Currently watching the first season and 6 more episodes to the end of season 1. At the same time, I’m trying to get season 2 (Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori).

This is the opening song for Jigoku Shoujo by SNoW, titled “Sakasama no Chou” (逆さまの蝶). I love this music.

I know it sounds really funny for the English translation of the song name, haha..I can’t think of a better one. This is a very classic Chinese oldies. (Note: Not necessary your parents will even appreciate it!) I love this song very much. This is a very classic China song, it’s one of the sound tracks in the movie ShaoLin Temple (少林寺) back in 1983 where Jet Li had his first movie acting.

In the movie, he was a noob that wanted to learn Kung-fu so that he can revenge for his family. He was actually chased by bad people and saved by the monks from the ShaoLin Temple. (Everyone knows ShaoLin Temple is famous for its martial arts) He was then taken as a monk too, learning martial arts and lastly plan for his revenge. He actually had the chance to be with a girl (the girl in the video above). Jet had the opportunity but he gave up and went back to ShaoLin Temple to be his monk. That’s the synopsis of the story. Can’t really remember the actual storyline, cause watched it sometime ago. Hey, there’s a few funny parts in that movie too! [Doubted what I wrote earlier, so I went to dig the movie and have a peekaboo of it. Realized that I've mixed up the storyline of the love matter (the girl was his master's daughter) with another Jet's ShaoLin movie. lol]

I love Jet Li, I watched all of his movies, including this very first movie of his. Notice how young he was in the movie? That time he was around 18. ^^

This is actually a Spanish version of Wrapped. I think it’s even better than the English version. Nothing much, just wanna keep this post short. So, just compare the English and Spanish version. Which one do you prefer?

Guzheng: Breathing 呼吸

Category: Music

Who says traditional musical instrument such as Guzheng is for old folks and out of date? It’s become a trend for adding this very oriental tune into modern music nowadays. Check out this video. I love this music very much. However, after uploading to YouTube, the music and video doesn’t sync well and sound quality decrease…too bad.

Breathing” is a modern Guzheng music that was composed by Chang Jing (常静), a China’s first modern Guzheng performer, and OuYang YongLiang (欧阳永亮), a well known musician. By matching modern music and Guzheng tune, they have composed a kind of unprecedented and unique piece of work. This music expresses the concept of people living in the clamor city, desperate for breathing freely. The sound of water, breath, flute and guzheng depicts a beautiful landscape painting, as this is the idea of “Breathing“. Giving you the purest breath and the most beautiful sensation. This music is a mixture of Eastern traditional musical instruments and modern music, what a splendid combination! The lady in this music video is Chang Jing herself.
How I wish I could play like her.
