Hina Matsuri, the Japanese Doll Festival (雛祭り), or “Girls’ Day” takes place on March 3. This is the day families pray for the happiness and prosperity of their girls and to help ensure that they grow up healthy and beautiful. The celebration takes place both inside the home and at the seashore. Both parts are meant to ward off evil spirits from girls.A girl’s first “Girls’ Day” is called her hatzu-zekku. On a girl’s hatzu-zekku it is very popular for the girl’s granparents to buy her a display doll. Most families take out this display of dolls around mid-February and put it away immediately after Hina Matsuri is over. There is a superstition that says that families slow to put away the dolls will have trouble marrying off their daughters!

It’s so cool of Japan to celebrate such a cute event! Unlike Chinese, Japanese treasure the girls, wishing that their young girls will obtain happiness and prosperity. Not like most Chinese, even in this new era, still prefer to have sons more than daughters. Or treasure the sons more than the opposite.
Happy Girls’ Day to every girl out there!
(Although it’s late ><)

Hmm..if you wonder what I usually do in the office…As an advertisement layout artist, I do these things everyday..
I arranged all advertisements into a page…The above is an extract from 17th January 2007’s newspaper. Most of the time, when I have to create an advertisement..it’s just limited to text advertisement (draw rectangular boxes and type words inside)..those with artworks are not my concern (although I did wish it was my responsibility…they have them done in the graphic department…and my job is to arrange them in place..lame, right?)
Notice the movie schedule down there? That was arranged (the pictures and layout) by me and typed the time according to the schedule faxed by the cineplex. It’s always a benefit when you can know what movie is coming up and the movie schedule for the next day, even before the newspaper is published.
Sometimes, I have to admit that my job is a bit fun.. The longer I work, the more familiar I am with my task. Performance is better than ever..and I feel like I’m playing some puzzles here…Put ads with different sizes in place

I really enjoyed this day together with you, although in the middle I need to solve some problems..It was a wonderful day..and I’ll never forget this 2nd Valentine’s Day of ours.

Early morning, we had this Valentine’s chocolate flavored heart shape cake as breakfast. Exchanged gift…and wow…I received a wonderful present…a KUMA-KUMA S0FT TOY!!! I’ve wanted this soft toy for so long…now, I hug to sleep every night ^^
When I saw this kuma-kuma in front of me, I couldn’t resist and couldn’t stop my tears coming out from my eyes..I was too happy and flattered to receive a present from my love. The heart shape soft pillow is a gift from me to my honey..

Frankly speaking, it’s my very first time to receive present from my love..
I’m really touched…and I felt loved. Open the present box…and here comes my kawaii doll… *drooling* KUMA-KUMA
Taaaadaaaaaaaaaaa~~~

Ain’t he cute? I gave him a name called Vinvin..hehe
Lastly, we had KFC for lunch+dinner
