It’s me and the story of my hair. I have been trying hard to keep my long hair since the last time I dyed my hair red in the salon. Actually in July 2010, just before my birthday, my friend and I went to have our hair bleached and dyed with “extreme” color. She had hers dyed hot pink, and I had mine dyed greenish blue. That time, I also dyed my entire hair with some brownish color to cover the previous red.

By the way, red is not a long lasting color. So does the greenish blue.

The pretty girl beside me shared the same name (Apple) and same birthday with me :D

During January this year, I went to the salon to change the color of my hair again. This time I thought of having some even more bright and outstanding color.

After few washing of the hair, the color get even brighter. I was not so use to it by that time. But still love the bright color.

Of course the black hair is growing all the time. I went to the salon to cover up the black part . And for nearly 8 months, I maintain my hair with this color. Last August, I was on my budget yet my black hair grew quite a lot already. Desperately wanna cover the black hair, so I went to buy the brightest hair dye solution I can get from normal super market and DIY.

Today, I went to a salon which I ever tried before. It was introduced by Mika. He always goes to that salon to get his hair done. The results are always great, that is why I decided to give it a try. The salon name is Crown Hair Studio, located in the city.

I picked grey. Before coloring, here comes the bleaching.

Sitting there fore nearly 5 hours and finally…

Greyish, bluish, silverish.. I’m so in love with this new look.  However, this is believed to be not the final look yet. After several times of washing, the color will gradually ‘fade off’ and the remaining color is what the hairstylist intended to let me have for my hair.

Too good not to post for some photos, don’t you think so?

Hmm, yea of course I need some makeup to make the entire photo nicer.

Like my grey hair, grey contact lens, grey eyeshadow and lipstick?

But I was wrong. Red, is a color that hard to blend with the original hair color (especially us with dark hair color), and it also can fade out after several time of washing.

Look at the photo below, it was my “fresh” appearance right after I had my hair done. It was on 13th Jan 2010. You can see that my hair color is red and bright, compared to Orange‘s.

The color faded gradually and it’s more to reddish brown now. And look at my hair, it’s not as straight as the first time I straighten my hair.

So yesterday morning, I went to another salon (the salon name is BROS, located at 3rd mile) to get my hair done. Cherry always go to this salon to have her hair cut, dye or straighten. The outcome is always very satisfying, so I decided to give this salon a try to “fix” my “messy” hair.

I asked for a red highlight that cost me RM60, and done a digital perm that cost me RM150. All together I spent RM210. I can’t believe I went to the salon 3 times in 2 months time. The first time is to have a new hair cut, second time is to have it colored. Now, highlighted and straighten. LOL. I also don’t know why I care so much about my hair now. Perhaps because of the influential of the friends around me.

This is how my hair looks now. I kinda like the red and the straightening effect! My hair is no longer untidy at the end.

At the same time, I also went to Watson at tHe Spring shopping mall to buy some hair care products. I want more red! So I bought a temporary hair color spray which is red. I haven’t really try on it because I cannot wash my hair right after the digital perm. I also bought a hair conditioner which can help with colored hair and bought a hair mask which I longed for.

The color almost totally gone after I had my new hair cut. I’ve been thinking of going to the salon to get my hair colored, but always find excuses like having a budget or do not have time for that.

Last Sunday, I decided to get it done before it’s too late (price might increase due to upcoming Chinese New Year event). I went back to the same salon which I had my  new hair cut – Enter Cut. I think the people there will think that I’m crazy, for always snapping photos while having my hair done. :P

I was sitting there for quite some time. This is after the hair stylist applied the cream for the first time and put the steamer on top of my head.

My friend also had his hair cut and dyed. He was sitting just beside me. So he took a photo of me. Oh dear, I looked so weird and ugly with my naked forehead. Can almost see the wrinkles-looking lines on the forehead! A sign of aging?! Sigh..I hope I don’t need any wrinkle treatments YET!

This is the finally look, right after I came out from the salon.

The color is quite obvious when there’s “enough” sunlight.

It cost me RM80 for the coloring, RM20 for the chemical treatment. A total of RM100 for this red hair.

Now my hair has more “volume”, I need something for styling my hair. So I went to Guardian to get a hair spray which cost me RM18.90.

It’s a Lucido-l Designing air hair spray.

I’m now happy with my new hair color and ready for a prosperous Chinese New Year ahead!

Well, of course, that’s just an expression for describing how I feel after having my new hair cut. A year ago, I went to straighten my long hair. This year, I thought I would love to have a new, fresh look which I never had before.

Okay, this is me with my current new hair cut. However, this is not gonna be the “final look” for 2010, as I’m planning to get my hair colored. Initially thought of having a red dye, but at the saloon this time. Or should I go for light brown / yellowish series, like the first time when I get my hair dyed many years ago? Suggestions?

Today, I went to a new saloon which is located near my office. It’s name is Enter Cut. My friend went to cut his hair there yesterday, and he was quite satisfied, so I thought I might go and have a try too.

The price is quite reasonable. I had my hair cut for RM12. This is the before and after look. I think I look more “lively” after the hair cut. =^.^=

I love my new hair style. Just can’t stop looking at the mirror. =.=|||

Now there’s some volume on my hair. This is the view from back. Apparently, my long hair become short and it’s not as straight as before.

Now, I’m kinda worry that I don’t know how to set my hair style for my everyday look. I think I need to get a hair spray since I don’t have any.

What do you think about my new hair cut?

I think I look even younger now :P

It’s been nearly half a year!! If I don’t “treat” my hair, sooner or later the quality will fade off. Since Cherry wanted to dye her hair so much, we went to the saloon that Sunday afternoon.

Then, I got my hair “on smoke”!! Haha…

Ouch..looks ugly with that steamer.. =.=The hair stylist took quite some time to finish the treatment, especially at the “blowing” part. I was so impatient, but still I had to sit there waiting for the her to finish up the job.

This cost me RM40 and in fact I felt a bit heart pain to just spend 40 bucks like that. Because I don’t even spend $$ on any sale, but just for this hair treatment thingy, 40 bucks flew off..WTF?! I’m not so used to it. Recently I love money so much, I don’t feel like spending too much on those not-so-necessary-things.

Anyway, I persuaded myself that this treatment is actually worth it. Because my colleague couldn’t help herself but play around with my long straight hair. This is what she done yesterday evening….

I never had it done before until yesterday. I used to say I don’t want to undergo the rebonding process, I want my hair to be natural. I love straight hair. My hair is kinda straight yet messy once awake. I didn’t want to rebond the hair mostly because I saw some examples around that makes the hair look straight in an unnatural way. Furthermore, my hair is quite less, I was afraid that it will look really bad after rebonding.

But still, I went to the salon, which I always go, to make a change!

It was a long process which took me around 3 hours to complete!

This is the outcome after rebonding (straightening) my hair.

This is my current look. Hmm..not get use to seeing me having short fringe once again. Aww..I need to slim my face a little!!

It cost me RM145 (promotion package) which I think is quite worth, as I was also given a C’est shampoo and conditioner.

Wander where I did my hair? Image is the name.

There are several shops with the word “image” as the company name, here in Kuching. If you watched Magicians of Love (爱情魔发师), a Taiwanese drama by 183 club, the salon in the drama is called “Neo Image”. Guess that is where the inspiration (imitation?) came from.

All in all, I’m quite satisfied with the outcome ^^
