Into J-Pop

Category: Music

Do you love music? I bet all of you here at least have a collection of music (MP3s) in your computer. I spend most of my time in front of the computer, so I haven’t turn on the radio set in my room for ages! I like to listen to music in my computer because it’s very convenient and I don’t need any audio racks to hold all the CDs.

Recently, I’m into J-pop or Japanese songs.  I’m trying to listen to various artists to find the right music for me.

Do you know YUI has released her 13th single “SUMMER SONG” on the 2nd this month?

And my new idol Alan Dawadolma has also released her 3rd single “Longing Future” on the 2nd as well. Before that, she also released a Chinese EP “Xin Zhan~Red Cliff~” for the upcoming Three Kingdom theme movie - Red Cliff.

Any Chinese / Japanese traditional musicial instruments can really make me breathless. I just get to know a very cool Japanese girl band Rin’ which consist of 3 ladies. They are really sugoi. They play the traditional musicial instruments like koto but in a very modern music arrangement. They sing well too!

Listen to this Sakura Sakura then you will know what I mean.

Rakutei Japanese Restaurant

Category: Food and Drinks

When I was still working at Crown Tower early last year, the management of Crown Square (which is just next to Crown Tower) was planning some changes. And that’s the first time I get to know about Rakutei when it was still undergoing renovation work before the opening. After I quited my previous job, I have forgotten about this Japanese restaurant until I saw a post entry in PeiHau’s blog. Since then, I always wanted to try dining there. Only until last 2 weeks, I got the chance to satisfy my taste bud in Rakutei.

Japanese food is always so beautiful…

Movie: L Change The World

Category: Movies

L Change The World” is the movie that I’ve been anticipating since last year. I’m glad that I’ve watched this movie on Wednesday, right after I watched Three Kingdoms.

Some people called this as “Death Note 3″. Well, in fact it is not another story for Death Note. If you have watched the previous Death Note 1 and 2 live action, you should know that both Light and L are dead. Unlike the original manga or anime, L dies first, then M and N become the successor of L to defeat Light. This, is a tribute movie for L. Showing what he did during the last 23 days before his death. Of course, this is a filler. If you are a L fan, this is a must watch.

Gegege no Kitaro

Gegege no Kitaro by Motoki Katsuhide

Sometime I go, Jay-han mentioned about this movie. It sounds interesting so I finally get to watch it. Well, nowadays there’s really a lot of manga or anime come into Live Action, meaning movie version.

Kitaro is half-human and half-yokai (a general term for creatures and supernatural beings), orphaned as a child and dedicated to keeping the peace between the human and yokai worlds. Kitaro tries to save a high school girl named Yumeko and stop a stone with the power to control both worlds from falling into the wrong hands.

It’s a very straight forward story with crazy and amazing computer graphics. It’s true that the most unforgettable yokai (monster) is the Eyeball Otosan. Read more…
