The Photobooth: Give the Gift of Hope

I was being informed by my sis that there’s one photobooth event going on at tHe Spring shopping mall, which I might be interested. This is a program specifically designed to uplift the lives of the poor and needy through the teaching of photography skills. With every photo taken inclusive of frame at RM30 (RM10 without frame), all proceeds go towards improving lives of poor and needy under 1AZAM program by the Ministry of Welfare, Women and Family Development, Sarawak.

The photobooth is located opposite Starbucks Coffee, tHe Spring shopping mall.  Continue reading “The Photobooth: Give the Gift of Hope”

Zumba with Glam Empire Fitness Studio

I have adopted a new hobby – dancing Zumba!

Zumba is a dance fitness program created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto “Beto” Perez during the 1990s. It involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba’s choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo and martial arts. Squats and lunges are also included.

Zumba® Fitness

I was introduced to Zumba by my gym which I joined last August. I only started joining Zumba classes on the 4th month after joing the gym. Once I tried Zumba, I fell in love with it (and sort of regretted for not joining it earlier!) I love Zumba even more when I first joined a Zumba replacement class conducted by ZIN™ Victor. World Walking Day @ Waterfront Kuching

I was waken up by my SMS ringtone. Friends had SMSed me to make sure I was going to the World Walking Day. When I looked at the time – 5.45am!! WTF?! I overslept and I don’t remember hearing any wake up alarm alert from my phone!! (I don’t have an alarm clock for years~ time to get one, maybe?)

Quickly dressed up, fetch Orange and drove all the way to Waterfront. On the way, we saw people in a very long queue!! It was only 6.30am.

And then I noticed something different from the information I got! Just look at this banner, it said starting from 6am!!! I thought it was 6.30am?! Check out Nestlé website~~ Continue reading “World Walking Day @ Waterfront Kuching”

Chung Hua Middle School No.1

It’s a place where I gained fundamental knowledge, life experience, friendship and most important – memories. Chung Hua Middle School No.1 (CHMSNo.1) is the school I went during my secondary year.

Time passes by like a flash of lightning, it’s been 50 years since the school was built. Here is a video made by teachers and students of CHMSNo.1. You can see how my school look like and I think this is a very well-done video to promote the school.

I never regret my choice of choosing CHMSNo.1 as my school. It’s a private Chinese school which means my parents had to pay for my school fee every month, unlike government-supported schools (which the main teaching media is in Malay).

Thank you, Chung Hua Middle School No.1.

Mini Fun Fair

Last month, we went to Boulevard and saw there was a mini fun fair. Last time, during Kuching festival, there would be fun fair held just next to the food fair.  I felt kinda weird to see a mini fun fair in front of a shopping mall, this is something new here in Kuching. The place was crowded.

Notice the “fountain” at the end? That’s actually a water playground. Many parents brought their kids there to have fun in the water. I don’t know if the entrance is free. Continue reading “Mini Fun Fair”
