The increase of fuel price affects other things to increase price as well, especially food. The food in Kuching, in compare to those big cities in West Malaysia, is much more cheaper. But sooner or later, the food here will become more and more expensive. A bowl of kolo mee used to be RM1.50. Slowly increased to RM2.00 - RM2.20. Now, you CANNOT find any kolo mee stall selling kolo mee at the price below RM2.50.
Yea, you heard me. Now, a bowl of kolo mee is at least RM2.50. I ever ate a plain (only a few fish slice and roasted pork) bowl of kolo mee that cost me RM3!! (that’s really overpriced, not like they are adding abalone) But there’s still one place that serve delicious kolo mee, good in quantity and quality. It’s at the upper level of the 3rd Mile wet market.

One day I ordered a bowl of handmade kolo mee (notice the shape of the noodle is slightly flat) and a cup of fresh soya bean, all together only cost me RM3.50; RM2.50 for the kolo mee and RM1.00 for the soya bean drink.
So Kuching folks, if you want to eat something that can make you full and pay less, go to 3rd Mile wet market food stall…hehe
12th July 2008 was KuchingBloggers.com first blogger meet, namely “Kuching Bloggers’ Meet 2008“. As one of the members of KuchingBloggers.com, I attended the gathering with Orange, Cherry and Cheese who are also members. The gathering was held in Sharing Planet 分享. It is said that Sharing Planet serves good food and always has many customers. However, this is the first time I dine in Sharing Planet.

It’s more like a garden to me. It was dark so I couldn’t really see how nice the surroundings is. Read more…

Posting for the formal procedure.

Who is the best cook in the world? No doubt, it has to be our own mums. What makes mum’s cooking the best is a very special ingredient that you can’t find any where - LOVE. After mum left this world, I have to take care of myself. It’s been 8 years and 8 months, I never taste her cooking and will never have the chance to do so. I envy my colleagues so much, as they have their lunch box prepared by their mothers every early morning. Whereas, I have to wake up early to prepare my own lunch box. I’m missing my mum’s cooking badly.
One day, Orange and I decided to go to a place that can get mum’s cooking….

Pikom organized a 3-day-PC fair here, in Kuching. I believe most of us in Malaysia know that now is the PC fair season. The past three days, a lot of people went to the PC fair. Of course I was there too. I went there on the first and last day. Arrived there quite late on the first day. Just managed to take a look around and do some price survey and bought a Canon PIXMA iP1880 printer on behalf of the company, at the price of RM148. And yesterday (the last day of PC fair), I saw the price had dropped to RM138. =.=

The PC fair is not as large in size like the one I attended years ago back in PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.
