Music Talk: Loreena McKennitt

Besides Enya, Loreena McKennitt is my favorite new age artist. Her music is very “celtic”, but you can still easily distinguish her music from Enya’s.

Loreena McKennitt, C.M. (born February 17, 1957) is a Canadian singer, composer, harpist and pianist most famous for writing, recording and performing world music with a New-Age/Celtic feel.

I love her album titled The Book of Secrets. I enjoy all the songs in this album. However, there are 2 songs that I like the most. They are The Mummers’ Dance and La Serenissima. If you like new age, you shouldn’t miss this one out!
