Do you agree? Many years ago, toys are just for kids. But today, even adults love toys! If you still remember, I have a little collection on food toys. And some of my bloggers friend do have lots of toys too, like Alysha, Renge and Camy, just to name a few.

How about you? Do you have any collectable toys? I believe guys do have toys like action figure too! Most action figures are expensive. I wish to have Death Note and One Piece action figures, but they are really too expensive for me to afford.  So, I don’t have any action figures.

The one and only action figure I ever bought is Tony-Tony Chopper, the blue nose reindeer from One Piece. But it was a gift for Orange, as he love Chopper very much.

What’s your favorite toy?

For Human Rights

Author: Apple | Category: Influence
15th May, 2008

Everyone of us have Human Rights. What is Human Rights?

Human rights refers to the “basic rights and freedoms to which all humans are entitled.”[1] Examples of rights and freedoms which are often thought of as human rights include civil and political rights, such as the right to life and liberty, freedom of expression, and equality before the law; and social, cultural and economic rights, including the right to participate in culture, the right to food, the right to work, and the right to education. [Source]

Yes, freedom of expression and freedom of speech. This is what you can see in the blogosphere. Such freedom in the blogosphere has brought up an argument on ethical writing issue. Ask yourself a question, “How free is freedom of speech in the blogosphere - a free media?

I don’t concern much in political issue but I believe most of you know that a Raja Petra, Malaysian political blogger, was jailed for sedition charges. He believes what he said is the truth with evidence so instead of paying the bail, he was on hunger srike.

According to the huma rights definition quoted from Wikipedia, what do you think? Is there any human rights here? Think about it. (not going further as this lead to sensitive issue)

Today is May 15, a day for Bloggers Unite For Human Rights. As a blogger, let’s unite together and spread the awareness of human rights. Let’s blog for hope.

Stay Healthy

Author: Apple | Category: Random Issue
14th May, 2008

It’s very common nowadays to see news on celebrities going for drug rehab programs. Most of them took drugs because they are in deep stress. But that’s really not healthy at all.  Every wonder how a rehab center looks like?

It’s not like stingy cell but as luxury as the picture above.  Relaxing environment and great facilities for those who signup for the rehab program to stay away from their addiction.

I don’t smoke nor take drugs. But one thing for sure that I’m really addicted is blogging. How to know if you are addicted to blogging?

Ask yourself a few questions below:

  1. Do you check your blog more than 5 times a day?
  2. Do you keep refreshing your blog to see if any comments are left?
  3. Do you start worrying you have ‘nothing’ to blog?

If all your answer is ‘yes’ then you are an addict too. :P

Bloggers need to get a life too. Play some games or go out to get some fresh air. Stay healthy.

Most of us that own a personal blog will add a chatbox widget to communicate with readers. Yesterday, 2 of my new visitors asked me the same question on how to add custom emoticons to the chatbox. So, this post is specially dedicated to them for answering the question.

First of all, you have to identify which chatbox widget service are you using. Two of the most popular chatbox widgets are Cbox and Shoutmix. Each chatbox service has different setting. So here, I’m going to post a short tutorial on how to add custom emotions, also known as smileys, in both Cbox and Shoutmix.

[Special notes to Teddy and Winter: Yours is a Cbox widget, so just follow the Cbox guide]

Before acutally going into details on how to add custom emoticons, you have to understand that you have to host (upload) your own emoticons. Meaning, you will have to grab your own collection of emoticons (click here for full set Onionhead emoticons), and upload to any free image hosting services like Photobucket, Imageshack or TinyPic.

After you have get ready the emoticons that you wish to use, you will have to login to your chatbox widget account to edit the settings.

Happy 2 Years 7 Months Anniversary

Author: Apple | Category: Life Log
13th May, 2008

Recently, there are some new visitors to this blog. I suppose, for those new comers, you won’t get to know what sort of anniversary is this. It’s just a memorable date for both me and my boyfriend. It’s the date when I promised to be his girlfriend. Maybe you will find this funny or silly for actually calculating how long have we been together. But I simply feel it is sweet to remember.

Concord Watch

Author: Apple | Category: Life Style
13th May, 2008

Time is precious, so one must control it well. We are losing a lot of time without noticing it, if we just do something useless. How to “control” and manage your time? A watch will be your good guide. Surprisingly, many of my friends are not wearing watches! They simply rely on the time shown in their cellphones’ screen.

But wearing a watch also express yourself with style. And when we talk about branded and stylish watches, Switzerland will be the first thing come in mind. There are so many luxury watches to choose from.

For as long as 100 years, Concord has consistently produced excellent watches which not only look elegant but also with great functionality. It also comes in different styles and variations. The picutre to the left is Concord C1 Chronograph. The design is so unique and really can make a very cool sport watch.

Of course such luxury concord watch worth quite an amount. These are really classic and suitable to make it a gift for someone very special like your father, husband or boyfriend, to show your appreciation.

Do you wear a watch? I do wear a watch but nothing fancy and it’s a digital one.

Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom

Author: Apple | Category: Games
12th May, 2008

This is not a new game but I really enjoy playing it. It’s a PC city-building game published by Sierra Entertainment. There are many series of city-building games by Sierra Entertainment, Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom is one of them.

In this game, you will learn to create your own village and slowly evolve to an empire. I love to play this game mostly because of its ancient-feel Chinese background music and the use of different China ancient dynasty as the plot. Now, I have the chance to become an “emperor” (or perhaps “empress”) and rule my own empire.

Here are some screenshots of my village upon completion during the Tutorial (Xia Dynasty) stage.
